“Good upscale hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2011

I've been at this hotel for a convention.
The service is impeccable, and during the check in you can have a beatiful view of Key Biscayne and the bay, being that the lobby is not - as normally - at ground floor.
The valet parking is a bit expensive, but you can use the connected parking (not cheap).
The rooms are OK, with a huge bathroom. Conference facilities are pretty good.

What a lovely hotel, good location, close to bayside and not too far from south beach. Being in the financial district, the hotel has a very secure feel, being high up on the upper levels of a tower with offices below. The hotel inside has great views from the bar and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. There are a fair few restaurants close by and the free tram service runs along Brickell and stops right outside the hotel! The only drawback was the pool is somewhat detached from the hotel, having walk through the car park and into another building to get to the pool isnt great (especially in your swimmers!)

Overall a lovely hotel away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach and Down Town.

Excellence is the standard at Conrad Miami. This was my second stay, which was a bit longer than my first. The Conrad is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. From the valet service to the concierge on to the registration desk, everyone greets you with a warm welcome to Miami. A few staff members even recognized me from my previous visit. My room was clean, and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. The 25th floor has some of the most breathtaking views day or night so its wise to always have a camera on hand. The Conrad will always be my first choice in Miami.

The hotel is expensive but very grand. I loved everything about it. the view from the breakfast area is breathtaking. The only issue is that the swimming pool is slightly disjointed from the rest of the hotel. You can avoid parking fees by parking on street which is free between 12 midnight and 7 AM and $3 an hour otherwise. The hotel charges $36.

Room Tip: Try and get a room facing the bay. We didnt get one.

This was a great hotel decent location about 15 minutes from South beach but just around the corner from Bayside. There are several restaurants and bars located around the hotel all in walking distance.

Room Tip: We checked into 2210 both on the city side.

Had a one night stay here in October 2011 before flying from MIA. An easy 20 minute drive to the airport and just 10 minutes to South Beach.

The hotel staff are very slick and very efficient. The views from the 25th floor (check in) are superb, overlooking the port, Biscayne Bay and South Beach.

Stayed in a one bed suite, which was magnificent. Spacious, natural light, ipod dock, electric curtains, decent size in room safe, 2 TV's very very plush.

Breakfast time during the week will see you sitting in the proximity of some serious Power Breakfast meetings, which adds to the aura of this hotel.

Expensive but worth it.

OK: if you are a Hilton Diamond card holder you are likely to be ahead of the game when you book a room here. Unlike many UK Hiltons who will not upgrade you unless you ask, European and Stateside Hiltons will do so unless they absolutely cannot. Also given breakfast as a courtesy, and whilst others have commented on this upgrade not including the automatic gratuity, it would be churlish to moan about paying $4 for an otherwise free (and excellent) breakfast. Especially when you have that breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay.

Room-wise, over 2 short stays here I was upgraded both times to a large corner residence room with kitchenette and huge living area. It's a seriously good room. Others have commented on the Illy espresso machine: it really is good.

Beds are very comfy indeed. Huge bathroom with ample toiletries.

All staff are helpful but not "artificial".

The bar is good value for a hotel of this status: if this were New York you could easily add 50% to the cost of that martini. The in house restaurant is not cheap but is good value, serves genuinely very very good food (no seasoning required, always a decent benchmark) and the wines are excellent.

If you really can't stomach the cost of that (and if you are staying at the Conrad, that does seem a bit unlikely), the Gordon Biersch brewpub a half a block away does excellent diner fare with a twist with good microbrews.

Good gym.

Handy for public transport for getting around downtown (the metromover is free).

Overall, despite its business district location, a high end Hilton group hotel that made me feel welcome, a valued customer, and was uber comfy.

This was my first time in Miami. Don't see any reason to stay anywhere else next time.

Big thumbs up Conrad.

Room Tip: If you can wangle a residence room from floor 26 up, you're in clover.
