“It is an isolated hotel and far to travel to Miami”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

The hotel is not too far from the airport but is in a difficult location to travel unless you have a car. The hotel is clean and very comfortable if transiting. The casino is one of the smokier ones I have been to.

“Fun place to play.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

The machines are fun, big variety. Also a big Bingo place. Good food selections. The resturant in the middle of the casino floor, serves Lobster and Steak dinners for 9.99, which are excellent. Many other food places. The casino gets very crowded on Week-ends and at night. Mostly Spanish speaking.

“If you are'nt an american citizen don't go without your passport!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

Four of us stayed 1 night on our way to the Keys. There was a very poor selection of slot machines and no video poker or table games. If you are not an American citizen and you win over $1200 you will not be paid unless you have a valid passport. It took !/2 hour for them to tell me that.
You have 30 days to come back and claim it. We winter in Fla and put away our passports until we leave again. We had to travel 6 hours to go back and get the money and then it took them another one and a half hours to do the paperwork and pay me! Needless to say we stayed at a different casino on the way back. The cost to go back and pick up the money was not cheap! The free buffet was appreciated but the food was mediocre.
There were language issues with the casino staff which only added to the frustrations.
I've never had to have my passport in any other casino in the USA to claim winnings over $1200.
Yes I won money but they took all the fun out of it!

“Even if the rooms are non smoking, most of the casino is not”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

Had planned on spending three days at the resort while we explored the area. Left after one night because the building reeked of cigarette smoke.
The room was nice and the coupon for the buffet saved half the cost, but it still wasn't enough to entice us to stay. We did join their gambling club, which gave us $60 to gamble. We took out about $25 in winnings, so that was nice.
