“Fabulous pool, excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Last night of our trip, spent our last day on loungers under the palms around the fabulous pool (complimentary granita was a nice touch). Spacious comfortable room. The Edge restaurant was very good in the evening, and food and service around the pool during the day was good too (though the menu is limited). We had a late check out then lounged some more before changing in the pleasant spa.
All in all, an excellent five star stay at a great rate (we booked at fairly short notice through myprivatetravel.com for $180, which is less than we were paying for a four star place for the preceding nights elsewhere. Also check yeego.com). Highly recommended (if the downtown location suits you).

You expect a certain level of service, facilities, etc when staying at a Four Seasons, but this property exceeding all expectations. As others have noted, the staff and service at this property is simply outstanding from the bellman when you arrive thru checkout. Room was spacious and well appointed with high quality amenities. Nice sized bathroom, good lighting. I was attending a conference in the building - very nice area for conference, food was good. In room dining was excellent - food/beverages was tasty and service was outstanding. Did not get to enjoy the pool area and would like to plan a personal trip to this property when I get an opportunity.

Room Tip: High floor with water view

While you expect great service from a five-star hotel, the Four Seasons Miami did not dissapoint! The bed was extremelty comfortable and the service from arrival to departure was outstanding! We enjoyed the atmosphere so much, we only ventured out a couple times during out two night stay.

Great property overlooking biscayne bay, restaurants, meeting spaces, and very organic and modern design which I enjoy for just strolling around the property. Excellent pool area that is its own retreat, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and the quality is there. My only set back is if I am staying in the suite on the 28th floor, oh it goes higher, I would prefer a balcony to step outside get some fresh air and enjoy the views.

Room Tip: the higher the better, either view is superb whether you want to look east towards the water or look...

One night stayover: Flying back to Switzerland the following day- didnt want a long drive to MIA.

To be clear this Four Seasons hotel is a 5 star hotel. No doubts there.

Very attentive staff, particularly the concierge, they do strive to take care of their guests. Spotless environment wherever you set foot.

Comfortable room- 5 Stars. Would have preferred two sinks in the bathroom, but the rest was great (special mention to the moisturizer which my partner adored). Big TV and the kind of bed and linens that tell you 'this is a Four Seasons'. Nice view of the pool and the 'bay'.

So why am I not gushing like most? Let's call it the lack of 'flow'.

The entrance to the hotel is done through a side building door via a lobby and an elevator ride up to the hotel lobby- a tad underwhelming. The building was probably not designed as a hotel in the first place and this is confirmed when one finds out there are apartments in the same building.

The lobby is scented with some air freshner which overpowered me a little (but I am very prickly when it comes to scents- lobbies need to be neutral imho).

Lobby also lacks what I call 'welcome space' in that you can't sit down and be around. Instead there is an access hallway with two couches where people sit and almost 'intercept' with their stare those walking by to the pool or their rooms or vice versa...the flow really is sub-optimal.

Nice big pools surrounded by palm trees. (clearly the strong suit of this hotel). Nice towels and hammocks attached to Palm Trees available too, complimentary smoothy once in a while- we loved our pool time.

Outdoor/Indoor bar with a DJ spinning overlooking the 'residents' pool. As the majority of this hotel is facing/adjacent buildings or rooftops (which is fine) we're not talking breathtaking views from the common areas. Reduces the 'wow' factor.

This is not the George V, it's not the Beau Rivage, the Dorchester or the Hotel du Cap. And I accept this- but my eyebrows go up when I notice a pronounced 'This is as good as it gets' vibe....but hey...that's just this little traveler's 2 cents.

Would we stay again? Perhaps, we certainly slept very well!

I wouldn't normally hand out a 5* rating as it is difficult for any hotel to get everything right but, in the case of the Four Seasons, Miami - they were not far off!
To put things in context I also stayed at the Epic and Eden Roc during this trip and, while both good in their own right, my preference hands down is the Four Seasons.
Location on Brickell is great if you are not interested in the hub bub of SOBE. Views are fab of the Bay and downtown. Great walking distance to Mary Brickell for a coffee and lunch.
Rooms are great and hotel seems to be well built as good sound proofing. I really had a chance to unwind.
Reception staff are professional and discerning. A discreet air of luxury.
Now the pool staff! Just great. A mention for Alex here. I was made very welcome, I felt like a friend rather than guest. The service is really excellent without being intrusive. I felt at all times that I was being catered for individually. The pool area itself is very attracive, plenty of beds and nice restaurant area.
I could go on but don't think I need to. Go and discover for yourself! People I met were there for the NBA (coaches/team), long weekends from cold New York (writer/banker), week breaks from London for conference (me!).
Enjoy! I did.

We are just back from a 8-night vacation in Florida, four of which we spent at the FSM. Spent some time researching where to stay, from there in Downtown or South Beach or Miami Beach. We loved every minute of the time we spent in Miami, all the much for being out of noise, hustle and bustle in SoBe.

Traffic to SoBe was light at any time, a 15-minute drive at most, and it was great seeing all the people there, and going away from them back to the Four Seasons.

Fast check-in, in a lavish lobby, featuring fantastic flower displays, as in any property of that brand. No upgrade, got what we booked : a Deluxe Bay-View Four Seasons Executive Suite, at $469+ per night, with StayLonger promotion (pay 2, get 3). Great value.

ROOM 2515 : although we had requested the highest available floor, we landed on 25th floor only. Slight disappointment, but to be honest, I do not think a hgher floor would have bought a marginally better view, onto Brickell Bay. Decoration in classic Four Seasons manner, soft tones, quality materials, a bit bland perhaps, but we like at Four Seasons, anyway. You know, as soon as you step in, that you are in a Four Seasons, eventhough you never have clue where that Four Seasons might be ... ! All amenities were there.
Typical FS bathroom architecture, including a not so frequent separate toilet. Not a clue why in Miami they got away from the standard toiletries (L'Occitane or Bulgari), for too fragrant, tropical oriented, no name versions.

Breakfast was extra, but reasonaly priced. Superb quality. Not specialty dish, the same kind as in any FS. Great service. And prompt.

Valet was extra, you bet. At $38. What choice do you have, anyway ? For that kind of money, you would expect that they pull your car as soon as you call, and not wait until you get there to get moving. Quite consistently. Oh, and they never recognized us. And you would expect them to leave the top down as you like, not up as they like. Or at least take it down on their way, as we requested but they never did. Never a bottle of water was offered.

Large pool, very large. Heated. Comfortable chairs. Good service, and the music is NOT blaring. Which we like.

CONCIERGE did some recommendations upon request, before we arrived in Miami. They did not try to go to our specifics, but emailed a list, which worked out fine. On location, we dealt with Natasha, who was extremely helpful in fixing some issues with our rental, recommending some excursions, and following up on them.

I will NOT comment on the cleanliness. For some reason beyond me, some reviewers waste time raving about cleanliness in properties of that caliber. This is a given, and should only be mentionned if ... not clean.

Patrons. Yound and old ; business men on duty with the wives tagging along, behaved families. Quiet. Discreet. The total opposite of the patrons at the Mandarin Oriental (see my review there).

A great stay, in a great property. Four Seasons never fails to deliver a great experience.
Are we partial ? Probably ... Call us faithful customers.
