We got a good rate through LMT. From when we arrived we were greeted very friendly by the porter who took care of our luggage. We took the elevator to the reception area a few floors higher. What struck me was how quiet the reception area was, after a long intercontinental flight this felt so nice. Check-in was very easy and fast, very friendly again. Room was very comfortable, as was the bed, everything in the room you could need was there. I loved the bathroom with separate toilet (always a plus), nice toiletries. Had dinner in the restaurant, nice food for reasonable price, good and friendly service. Next morning visited the pool, employees around the pool asked us within a few minutes if we needed something. We had breakfast in a little place around the corner (forgot the name) huge breakfast according to European standards for a small price. We used public transport (for free) to get around, felt always safe and is very fast and stop very near the hotel. Used concierge to book a restaurant and to get some city maps, very attentive service. Except some loud people at the bar the first night, what I liked about the hotel was that is was always so peaceful and clean, never a lot of people hovering around. I really enjoyed my stay at the four seasons.

It’s a very nice hotel with extremely pleasant staff, but they lack attention to detail.

The room (Corner Suite) had very nice views of the pool and bay, and the hotel’s location was close to Bayside shopping area and AA Arena. When we checked-in, they had my last name wrong and my middle name misspelled, although I manually typed it when I booked online. I didn’t mind the wrong spelling as it’s no big deal but the awkwardness of the front desk telling me there was no reservation after a flight and long immigration line at MIA was not a very pleasant welcome. The front desk quickly realized the mistake and promptly provided me with the room keys, and gave my 3 year-old son a toy truck as a welcome present, which I really appreciated!! When we got to the room it was ready and obviously set for us (a kids welcome pack in the bathroom w/ cookies, a bottle of still water , and a plate of fruit was waiting). In my reservation, I requested a roll-away bed which was not in the room and I had to request it again. I was told there was a sofa-bed, and they figured that I wouldn’t need the roll-away bed!! I would have rather been told they forgot instead of them guessing my needs for me. When I was ready to check out, I had to request assistance with my bags 3 times. It took a good 45minutes for a bellman to arrive.

It was not a “bad” stay at all, but definitely did not feel like a Four Seasons!

I appreciate your review and I’m glad that you liked your room view and the location of our hotel. We are sorry about the misspelling of your name when you checked-in but we are glad the problem was solved immediately. We also want to apologize about not having a roll-away bed in your room and for you to have to wait a long time for the bellman to arrive. Thank You again for your review, and I hope you and your family will return soon.

What a great place to spend our Labor Day Weekend. The staff is so accommodating and what great servce we had poolside. We were traveling with our son and the staff made every effort to acknowledge him and make sure he had what he needed. We love Four Seasons and this location is now one of our favorites. Thank you!

We moved to the Four Seasons after a few days at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne as we thought that we might be evacuated due to Hurricane Isaac. While the storm was a major inconvenience in some ways this was a true blessing in disguise because we were able to discover the Four Seasons! I can't say enough about our few days there- the pristine lobby area, comfortable (stylish and very clean) rooms, the service of the staff and the delicious food at Edge, the main restaurant were the highlights. This was the perfect hotel to stay in during a storm as we had access to a 50,000 sq. feet L.A. Reebok club- just an elevator ride away. It was impressive that the club remained open when most of Miami seemed to shut down. Our last day there was gorgeous and we got to take advantage of the pool. The pool is larger than most you will find at beach resorts in the area (in addition to Ritz Key Biscayne, we've also stayed at the Fontainbleau) and is stunning. It feels a world away from busy downtown Brickell Ave. We loved the hotel and our experience so much that we have just made plans to return for the week of Christmas!

Room Tip: If you can splurge for an Executive Suite, go for it! Practically double the size of a deluxe room...

Just got back from Miami after spending 5 days 4 nights at the Four Season in Miami downtown. This is an overpriced hotel that falls way short of a 5 star rated hotel. The rooms are spacious with luxurious beds but nothing you can't get at half the price. There is no coffee service in the room, no available ice unless you call to have it delivered, and stay away from the Edge restaurant and bar. Our party of 4 went down to the Edge for an early dinner and cocktails at 5:00 pm. There was no hostess but was greeted by the bar tender at the front and informed us we could sit any where and somone would come take our order. After 15 minutes of no one acknowledging our presence, we walked out and went down the street to Novecento Restaurant and had a wonderful dinner with excellent service. Later that same evening we once again went to the Edge for cocktails and about 15 minutes after sitting down a waitress came to take our order. 10 minutes later she came back to take it again because she forgot what we had ordered. When we did get our drinks, she brought us out the wrong ones. We ordered the oysters on the half shell and were presented to what appeared to be some distant relative of a one-a-be oyster. These folks have no idea of what an oyster supposed to look like and obviously have never been to the Four Seasons in Houston, Tx. When we got our bill, extra drinks had been added to the ticket. Had to wait another 30 minutes to clear this up and never once did our waitress attempt to apologize for the complete lack of service or the added-on items. About the best part of this hotel is the poolside service. The staff here was very attentive and provided excellent service. Kudos go to the door staff and bell-boys that also did an excellent job. It's unfortunate that their restaurant is run so poorly and there is not obvious presence of management for accountability, the place has some tremendous potential but falls way short of the service recognized in other Four Season Hotels.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for letting us know your experience in our hotel.
We clearly failed to deliver the kind of service you have come to know and expect from Four Seasons and I would like to sincerely apologize for your disappointment when you did not receive a good service in our restaurant. Rest assured we take these kinds of details very seriously, and your concerns have been addressed with the appropriate individuals. Thank you for the positive comments about our pool & guest services, we will be sure to pass along your kind words. I appreciate your feedback.

Staff was courteous and friendly. Impressive lobby in the seventh floor of this high-rise building. As we were going into our honeymoon they offered us an upgrade to a suite (not complimentary although at a discounted rate), with awesome views of the ocean and the city. They also sent us a very exquisite chocolate fondue as compliments for our wedding! The hotel is voted as one of the best for business in the US and indeed it has more of a businessy feel than other high-end downtown hotels, such as the hip décor of the Epic, the elegance of the Mandarin oriental or the eclecticism of the Viceroy. The Four Seasons is located in the middle of Miami’s “financial” center a bit farther off Bay Side, but very close to the people mover so very convenient when moving around downtown. On the cons side, the rooms are carpeted and they have no balcony, which gives more the businessy feel I mentioned before. Also, don’t expect to find the great deals you find for other hotels such as the Epic or the Viceroy: top dollars for a top stay.

This is a wonderful hotel downtown.
Stayed here last summer for 3 days and it was a wonderful experience. The whole pool area is spectacular and the service there was superb. It just made the stay super relaxing. We took advantage of a very reasonable upgrade offer upon arrival and it worked out brilliantly for my family.
Only two downsides were the concerge, who was hopeless and disinterested and made a mess of reservations to swim with dolphins. However our complaint was dealt with very well. Also when we complained about the wi fi not working, this was dealt with to our satisfaction. However overall the stay was excellent.
