“Luxury at its finest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

I consider myself to be a discriminating consumer, and I found this hotel and the amenities to be exception. I also thought the hotel stay was a great value for what was offered. The room was modern and updated, the bed was ultra comfortable, and the linens were soft. All of the staff bend over backwards to be accommodating and helpful. An additional huge plus of this hotel is that you are away from all of the South Beach craziness and you have complimentary access to one of the best fitness clubs in Miami (the Sports club LA). I also used the Rik Rak in-hotel salon and found their service to be exceptional as well w/ a talented hair stylist and a make up person.

Of course there are a few caveats to this gleaming review that I feel deserve comment.
First, they charge for internet access - a weak connection ($12/day) and a stronger connection )$18/day). I chose the weak connection and it was not strong enough for basic tasks and had to upgrade to the stronger option. I feel that this additional charge for something so critical (internet access/ wifi) in 2012 should be complimentary - it is just a bit tacky to me to charge for this, especially for weak internet strength!

The other caveat is that there are very few casual dining options or any dining options. They have an upscale restaurant (The Edge) and a poolside casual restaurant outside. There is no quick pick up style restaurant w/ coffee as is common in most hotels. I ended up going to the edge to get a $7 coffee (you get the idea). They had a very small boutique type of place near the lobby that had Nutrigrain bars (yuck) and that was about it. There were much better options (cliff bars) in the mini bar in the hotel room (perhaps this was the grand plan to have no other options except for your mini bar so you are forced to pay exorbitant prices for snacks).

All in all, a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a bay view room, preferably above the 24th floor level so you can see above the buildings th...

This is, put simply, a nice place ... from the helpful staff at check-in .. the concierge who guided us to the nearby local restaurants after a long flight from Sydney ... to the restaurant staff at breakfast ... to the rooms which were quite large and spacious.

Always felt relaxed and comfortable.
Thoroughly enjoyed my (albeit) brief stay ..

Stayed here for four nights post-cruise to explore miami and extend our vacay a little before heading home, and we were very happy with our choice. We liked the location downtown, with many restaurants and bars within walking distance (try zuma for good modern japanese food and great cocktails, a leisurely 20-min stroll away). It was also a short drive or cab ride away from busy south beach, without having to actually stay there.

Service was excellent like you'd expect from a four seasons, and concierge was pleasant and helpful. Although the rooms felt just a little dated, they were a good size, with large bathrooms. Pool area was quite nice as well.

A definite highlight was the Sunday brunch there - free flow cocktails/bubbles, and a wonderful spread. Lots to choose from, with several manned stations, and I was delighted with the dessert selection..mmm...definitely fit that in if you can!

If I wanted a loud, techno pool party for six hours on Saturday, I would have picked South Beach. Other than that, it's a good choice with a good location and good service. The least the hotel can do is inform guests of their initiative to become like the Perry. However, the service at the pool was very good.

Had a layover between coming home from an out of the way Caribbean island and getting home. Chose the Four Seasons, because, well, I love the Four Seasons. The hotel is close to the airport, about 20 minutes, in the business district. It is a beautiful modern high rise very similar in design to the Chicago and St. Louis Four Seasons. Cool marble, beautiful sculptures and a pleasing clean smell. Love the fact that all employees come out from behind their desks and point and escort you to where you need to go.

We had two rooms, a king and two doubles. While our king was a really nice room, the boys' room was fantastic. Corner room with two separate window seats, substantially larger that our room...Almost made them switch with us!

Luxury sheets, luxury bath, very clean, what you would expect of Four Seasons.

I especially liked their pool area and the hammocks under the palms strung over water.

And service? Wow. The Edge restaurant had good to very good food, but the best was the service. Carlos our waiter was extremely professional, and Christian the Assistant Manager was extremely personable. Oh, and half price wine bottles on Wednesday nights!

One funny thing, the man checking us in offered us an "upsell" for $50 more we could have a better view. I think he meant "upgrade"... oops...

In conclusion, love it, got a good rate, had a good night's sleep. Great ending to a great trip.
