“Orchid, The show!!!!! at the Miami Design District”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

AMAZING!
Mix Moulin Rouge, Cirque du Soleil, burlesque and add some 80’s, 90’s and current top 40’s music and you have arrived at Orchid The Show. Sensual, sexual, entertaining, sinfully delightful, delicious and a true guilt trip, this is the best show that Miami has seen in a long time. From the inviting setting of the garden to the magical restaurant, you will be tempted to dream about pleasure from beginning to end.

“So much to do and see”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

The selection of restaurants and shops to visit is impressive and almost overwhelming. My wife and I enjoyed the walks and the eclectic crowds.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012 via mobile

Most shops are by appointment only. Nice afternoon of window shopping but not much else. There are very few restaurants.

“Variety”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We stopped into a variety of interior design related stores. The quality and quantity of shops in the area were impressive. Most of the shops are open during typical daytime business hours (like 9-5), so you'll want to keep that in mind if you want to do more than window shopping.

“A gem in the making”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Design District is booming and many designer stores are opening up. In another year or two, this place will be a major attraction.

It's a great place for anything having to do with interior design and decor. The array of stores that sell high end furniture, carpets, appliances, lamps and light fixtures, artwork and home decoration items is unbelievable.

There a few place to sit down and eat but it appears that many are in the works,

Many of the currents stores are in retrofitted industrial buildings and are in deal for displaying the top quality merchandize they carry.

Parking is an issue and will only get worse as the district gains in popularity. A wonderful feature is the string of valet parking options (seemed to be run by the same company) where you can get parked for $3,00 a day. It's a real bargain in comparison to the high cost of metered parking which is available in limited quantity and not that close to the shops.

Access off 195 is easy and perhaps easier from State Road Number 1 (Federal Expressway).

You can easily spend a full day there and on a sunny day, walking from store to store will be great exercise!
