I hadn't been in the area in 2 years so I was very pleased to see the urban renewal has continued to happen in the area.It is becoming a very chic and unique area with great home and garden shopping and tasty restaurants. Well worth a poke around. Have fun.
The Miami Design district is a great place for people who appreciate modern furniture. There are a large number of furniture stores which sell very beautifully designed modern furniture made all over the world. There are also a number of trendy restaurants.
Art walk happens at night with the galleries open and lots of people on the street. This happens every second saturday of the month and I recommend! Most galleries have drinks to offer and if you're hungry there's a place on the main road that has food trucks.
There is always something to see on the streets in the Design District, usually can't afford anything to buy here, but the murals are impressive and the creative professionals are in abundance here. If you need an architect, you can find one here.
For years my husband and I attend the local art galleries. Unfortunately, every year the galleries decrease and every month the galleries that there are still more empty.
Today, even the restaurants are few clients. The empty streets are scary.
