“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

"Bark at the Park" event at Marlins stadium this past weekend was good fun. It's awfully nice to watch a game in air-conditioned comfort. The "nose bleed" seats available to people and dogs for this fundraiser had a great view of the city as well as the game. Heinekens were ice cold. Everyone had a smile. Even parking was easy.

“Fun afternoon playing hooky from work.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

There isn't a bad seat in the house. Air Conditioned making hot summer days in Miami bearable. Hungry...plenty to choose from...hot dogs to full meals. Worth taking the afternoon off from work. Had a blast!

“Not much character”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

I was surprised at the lack of character. There just isn't too much to say in that regard. I bought a Cuban sandwich at the Taste of Miami section. It wasn't evenly hot. It was a large sandwich, tasty, and a decent value. The stadium is intimate and there's good seating. I also like the multitude of areas where you can stand and eat (and in most cases, watch the game at the same time). I took a cab to and from the park, and the cab drivers navigated easily to and from the park.

“I MISS THE OB”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Great modern stadium, able to see action even when purchasing food, but misses the great ambience of its predecessor.

“Nice New Ballpark”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

I went to the see the Marlin's late in June'13. Their ballpark is beautiful and quite comfortable. Like all modern parks it has all the amenities one could want. It would be wrong not to mention it has a retractable roof that was closed for the game. The AC worked like a dream...especially on a steamy Florida summer night.

The best thing about the ballpark: The outfield bar. Buy the least expensive ticket in the house...and just enjoy a few beers at the apex of the outfield. the GIANT TV (adjacent) ensures you have the best seat...maybe standing room...in the house.

Parking was easy but cost a lot. Traffic getting to the ballpark wasn't bad, but the game was far from a sellout. If it was a busy night...I would think traffic would be awful.

It was actually difficult to find a ticket window. They are not near parking...rather about 1/3 of the way around the stadium on the stadium wall (I may have just gone the wrong way...but was following the crowd. The ticket sellers were very efficient and pleasant. I always feel kind of dumb as (of course) the ticket sales folks easily went back and forth from Spanish to English.

The food....was a bit of a disappointment. Kind of all plastic "Disney" versions of what should be at a baseball game.

The one thing that was missing from the ballpark...character. It was all sort of perfect...but all sort of contrived. That said...once the "new smell" is gone this may be a really great place to see a game.
