Parrot Jungle is much more than birds. In fact, the nicest attractions are the reptiles show and wild animals show. There is a nice and clean petting zoo and new playground equipment for children.
Despite a previous post, there are numerous exhibits that are very educational and informative. There is a general feeling that the owners and staff do sincerely care about both the animals and the environment in general. While some birds are in cages, many are not. It should be noted that the greater Miami area is home to many parrots who live and breed outside of captivity. As a local resident, we awake every morning to the sounds of parrots flying overhead.
We have had an annual pass for the past two years. We probably go about once every two months. Our kids (ages 3 and 5) love it. I have seen a tremendous improvement in the park since it opened in the quality of the show and exhibits. The landscaping has filled in very nicely and the surrounding waterviews are great.
