“A must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Jungle island is a must see attraction for visitors of all ages! The lemur experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity that is well worth the money. The staff is incredibly welcoming, warm, and informative. The animals are fascinating and there is the most beautiful cheetah I have ever seen seriously! My boyfriend and I could not have been any more pleased with our experience.

“Fun place to see animals up close (especially birds)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Beautiful birds, great bird show, other shows are not as impressive, but all is fun here.
Its not a zoo and not a huge place but you see plenty of beautiful birds and other animals - grounds are well landscaped and mostly shaded but still wear your sun block since this is south Florida. check the internet or various tourist books for discount coupons for your entry since the entry fee is a bit higher than most zoos and the extras can add up quickly ---
Yes they try to sell you on 'extras' but it seemed very low pressure to me
They also kept our luggage in a storage room which was very handy since we were going to airport after the visit - that was much appreciated

“Lemurs leap and bound”

We did the lemur experience here and it was one of the most awesome experiences that I have ever had in my life. The idea that you get to interact with the animals was just so cool.

“Great alternative to walking a zoo”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Smaller scale zoo experience. The kids enjoyed being able to feed and hold the exotic birds. Great live show, but limited seating if not there 15 -20 mins before start. The discount for the teachers eased the pain for admission. Friendly & attentive staff. The line to view & purchase your pictures (expensive) was chaotic.
