“SPECTACULAR”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

From the breathtaking view of the bay, to the superbly cared for animals, the exquisite vegetation and the delightfully informed and gregarious staff, Parrot Jungle is one of my favorite places in the world. We even had the chance to meet and speak with Dr. Jason Chatfield, veterinarian extraordinaire, in charge of the care of the plethora of exotic species at this park. I rate this park right up there with any of the BIG Florida attractions and it is less than half the price. They have a play ground for the kids, the chance for your little ones to pet a kangaroo or sit on the back of a 100 year old tortoise. Meet Hannah, the Orangatan fashionista (loves clothes and will smile for the camera on cue) or stand in complete awe of the magnificent and incredibly rare tawny and white tigers and lions. You will see birds here that you will probably never see anywhere else in the US. Be sure to visit the Flamingo park to meet the little guy who honks until you let him eat from your hand. Stop off to visit with their breathtaking Black Palm Cockatoo and laugh while he pushes a stick out at you then waits for you to give it back. Feed the many Macaws and Cockatoos spread out over every inch of this amazing garden. This is an experience that will leave you with lasting memories and a burning desire to go back, and I'm not kidding. I'm heading back myself next week, I just can't stay away :)

“My First Liger!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

While one staff member needed an attitude adjustment we found the whole park a worthy place of our time (roughly 3/4 hours). It was well laid out, clean and very shady for those warm Florida days. In comparison to a zoo you will not be finding every animal under the sun here, but it is a jungle and if you come with the expectation of visiting a jungle you will find it here. My kids loved the shows and the playground. i loved seeing a Liger for the first time. You can read more at our blog.

“Wedding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I attended a very large evening wedding here. The setting was excellent (getting a taxi at 11pm was a problem) with a beautiful sunset and great downtown views including the light show on the Intercontinental. During the reception, the staff brought around different animals and reptiles and I had a parrot sit on my shoulder.

“Nice option for kids in Miami”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

We have visited Jungle Island several times, and my kids enjoy the place. However I find a bit simple and not many things to do, so you end up visiting the place relatively quickly. It is expensive for the value you get, and the staff is not very friendly especially the photo people who have no patience with kids.
