“Excellent attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

This is an excellent attraction with lots of rare animals. There are White Tigers, White Lions, and even a Liger! There is a cafe overlooking the lake where you can watch all sorts of birds and turtles while you have a snack. I expected a little animal park but in my opinion it is better than the zoo by far. If you don't have a car it can be reached by bus as the bus stop is directly opposite, I think there is also a free shuttle which runs from South Beach.

“So much fun!”

We had a great time visiting Jungle Island and were nicely surprised at all the animals found here. The park is awesome and not just for kids.

“Fun if you love birds and other animals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

It is a little expensive for what it is, but for a largely outdoor attraction, it's comfortable considering how much shady foliage they have, how many small arenas they have for shows and events, and the number of friendly staff members they have to take care of guests and the resident animals. Other than the beautiful macaws and parrots that you'd expect (and they have a huge variety), they also have a cassowary (very rare in zoos and theme parks), an Andean condor, a Sarus Crane, and a small pond with a gorgeous flock of flamingos. They have a small petting "farm" with goats and two zebu, and enclosure to pet small kangaroos (joeys, I guess - not full grown red kangaroos) if you pay $5 extra entrance fee. Not sure that's worth it if you're expecting playful, happy-to-see-you kangaroos because they seemed too sleepy to move, but it was still fun. The park also seemed to have an accidental "Napoleon Dynamite" theme with a liger ("they're pretty much my favorite animal") and a llama ("Tina, come get your dinner!").

Probably the best thing was when my friend had his photo taken at the entrance, they put a large parrot (a macaw?) upside down in his arms, and it lay there, cradled, loving and trusting. Must be a well-cared for bunch of birds.

“Yeiii”

Amazing nature but if you go during the summer time you will be really tired, there is a lot of parrots, but if you want todo see the lions or monkeys maybe will be better some place like bush gardens
