My husband and I were in Miami to visit family and were staying in Coconut Grove. My sister suggested Timo's as it was new, she had heard good things, was dying to try it and it was right across the street from our hotel. We were a fairly large and unruly party as we hadn't seen each other for a while and we had a few stragglers. Taking all that into consideration the waiter could not have been more patient with us. The place wasn't packed, but still, we were never made to feel like we were overstaying our welcome or rushed to order. The room is divided into several areas and has a lovely modern/rustic feel. The tables are not crowded together and the place has lots of sound absorption and the music isn't too loud. This all makes it a great place to dine with friend as one can actually have a conversation! The drinks were fantastic, the food sensational. There seems to be a trend in Miami for the restaurants to have multiple ethnic influences on the menu and here it worked to perfection. All 8 of us cleared our plates. We were there on a weeknight and it didn't fill up, but I predict that is only a matter of time till reservations will be hard to get. We returned the next night for some drinks and a chat in the sexy little bar area in the back. Top marks.
