“Wonderful park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

It was once the home of the Parrot Jungle, Many trails left to walk and often a day festival here and there. Explosion of beauty as the orchids or air plants are in bloom year round in the trees. The trees can cool a summer day for your walk. I lived nearby and just loved the place.

“Awesome for kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

This used to the the old Parrot Jungle so much of the landscaping and trails have been around for decades. Despite the summer heat in Miami, the foilage creates an abundance of shade as you walk around and it's not as hot as it could be. As you wind your way through the park, you eventually come across a great little water park for kids. Nothing fancy and no pools, just a nice open area with a number of sprinklers and water spouts for kids to run through. But be prepared, kids can definitely get soaked so it they really want to get into it, a swimsuit is a must- or just get wet. There are benches and shaded areas for parents to relax while they run around. In addition to this water area is a nice sized playground and snack shop with ice cream. All in all, it is an enjoyable place to visit and kids really seem to like it. Best part is that unlike everything else in Miami, it won't cost you an arm and a leg to experience it.

“Beautiful park and it's FREE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

This used to be the old Parrot Jungle. It is now a beautiful lush park that is nice to walk around and sit back at a table with a packed lunch and relax. It is open and free to the public.

“A hidden jem in Miami”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

Lush tropical gardens with nice paths to walk, pretty well maintained and managed. Host of cultural and family events. Fresh market outside on Sundays. Definitely I must see, you'll be enchanted.

“Sweet little gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

I don't remember the fee but it was on the small side. Plenty of parking unless they are having a festival of sorts.
Beautiful small winding trail, wheel chair accessible. The little trail is nice and shaded. Small pounds surround the trail. Cute place don't miss it.
