5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Five star attentive service, fantastic location, beautiful climate - I can only think the minority reviewers with criticisms were unlucky or are exceptionally picky. Trust me - if you're thinking of making this your Miami base and you can afford the undisputed premium, you won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed the location, which is just far enough removed from the craziness in the rest of Miami to feel like it's not insane, but close enough so you can still get there if/when you want to.

Because of the design of the hotel and the location on what is essentially a private island (Brickell Key), it's hard for me to imagine that there are any rooms that don't have a water view. We technically had an "island view" room, and yet we enjoyed breakfast on our balcony looking at the water both days.

I have nothing definitively bad to say about this property, which might make you wonder why it only received four stars instead of five. I'm not sure I could articulate exactly what was missing. There was something about the attitude of the staff that was just a little bit off. If you're familiar with these types of hotels, you know they have a way of making you feel comfortable without feeling stuffy. They didn't quite hit that mark here. The staff is not unfriendly, but just doesn't quite reach that level required of a five-star review.

Simply the best hotel, best location and best service in Miami. There is a nice quiet pool and beech area to relax after a stressful job. A very short walk or taxi ride to Downtown. Have a nice walk around Brickell Key and maybe you will see the dolphins like we did!!

At this price level one should expect excellence. The Mandarin Oriental in Miami falls short. Air conditioning inoperative on arrival. Valet parking is a chaotic event. Orientation of bed faces bathroom rather than view. Have to wait in line at check out.

Mandarin on Brickell Key is simply and easiest the finest hotel in Florida.

The lobby is spectacular and always a treat. The service is excellent, and the rooms are perfect. The bar and LaMar restaurant are very good, for both breakfast and dinner.

What a lovely, relaxing, luxurious stay. The island feel was a nice change from staying in the hotels along ocean drive. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurants were superb. Our highlight was definitely our amazing spa treatments, mandarin’s massages never disappoint. The pool was a little small and the man-made beach can’t quite compete with the real thing, but the peace and quiet was a much needed break from the noise and action of south beach. We were a little disappointed that they didn’t offer Foli, a digital magazine service we’ve used at the Mandarin in San Francisco and loved, but perhaps that is coming soon? Thanks for another lovely stay! We look forward to returning soon.

We stayed here last year and it was great. Service was exceptional. We thought the rooms were very clean and it was close to everything we needed to be at. THe decor was lovely and the food we ordered was timely and good
