“Great business hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

In Brickell, this is an oasis of calm and a great business hotel. I loved the path that loops around the hotel that you can use for a walk or for a jog. The floor in the suite I had was looking a bit tired but the hotel is excellent otherwise. Brickell Village is a close walk and the restaurant options are good. Concierge service is brilliant and great staff. Don't miss the iguanas by the hedge at the bridge at the entrance to the hotel.

Room Tip: High floor ocean facing rooms, suites with a balcony are great. You can sit out and have breakfast w...

Just spent a couple of days here on our way back to the Uk - wonderful hotel, excellent service and food, very relaxing. Special mention for Nadia, Jackie and Juan at the pool who always make us feel so welcome - would not consider staying anywhere else in Miami.

This was our first trip to Miami and really did not know where to stay. We choose this place. There is nothing to complain about. Met and exceeded our expectations. The place is very clean and people are very nice and helpful. Plenty to do and see and within walking distance. Right on the ocean and you can see the cruise ship port. Now if you are looking for a low dollar place to stay, this is not it.

Room Tip: You can get ocean view or view of the town. We did not hear noise and had a higher floor room.

This hotel knows what it's doing. The design and decor is beautiful yet comfortable. The people who work here are friendly and deliver great service. My room was cleaned and serviced twice a day. Every employee greeted me warmly. The hotel restaurant served delicious food with lots of Miami flavors. Can't wait to come back in the winter to enjoy the Miami weather and this hotel again.

This is what one expects in a five star hotel. Everything in the hotel was of the highest quality. Rooms, Beds, Views, Food, Service, and every other detail one can think of. Highly recommended for those seeking excellence.

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Miami was a truly exceptional experience! Right after we made our reservations on-line, we heard from Winny, a Guest Relations Coordinator, who graciously filled us in about the hotel, its amenities, the area, and offered her assistance to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. She arranged to have a complimentary fruit arrangement waiting for us when we arrived which was fantastic. We've stayed at other Mandarin properties, and the one in Miami is everything you'd expect from a luxury 5-star hotel. The hotel is located in the financial district of Miami (Brickell Key) and offers a quieter atmosphere than other parts of Miami. The staff was exceptional - neat, polite, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to make our visit a memorable one. Wanting a taste of some Cuban cuisine, the concierge directed us to a local restaurant that turned out to be one of the best Cuban eateries we've ever been to. Our room was an Executive Suite which overlooked both the bay and the Miami skyline, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the large balcony taking in the sites. The breakfast was delicious, and the relaxed atmosphere and cool breeze on the outside patio was a great way to start the day. If you want to enjoy the South Beach nightlife, taxi fare is only around $20.00. There's a free trolley and tram (people mover) system that provide easy access to some of the local sites, shopping, and dining areas, and stops are conveniently located within short walking distances of the hotel. Be advised that the bathrooms, although very large (in the Executive Suites) have only a window shade, and not a glass partition, between the bathroom and living area which makes for a noisy room when you're taking a shower.

Room Tip: Some rooms offer views of either the Miami skyline or bay, so decide which you'd like when makin...

From the moment I pulled up in the car I knew this was a classy hotel. The staff are outstanding and so polite. the hotel is fabulous and the bay facing rooms all have large balconies facing across the bay. the view is spectacular particularly at night when all the high rise buildings are lit up. The room was beautiful and kept extremely clean. we had dinner one night in our room as my son was feeling the heat. The service was amazing, proper table cloths, glasses, fabulous food kept warm in a small heated cabinet. the pool was great with the pool staff setting you up on your sunbed and bringing a free small fruit smoothie. The gym was great. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment. Would recommend this superb hotel.
