“Great introduction to The Everglades”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Shark Valley has nothing to do with sharks but lots to do with the wonderful Everglades. This tram tour which is privately run at Everglades National Park- Shark Valley is a very informative and fun way to see this important area of Everglades Park. You will sit in a covered open tram and comfortable see all the gators and birds. There is a fine explanation of the ecology.

If you want exercise then you can rent a bike and ride yourself around the same trail. You will be up close and personal with the gators. Get to the tram ride about one hour early, it does get crowded.

“Interesting and Informative Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

We highly recommend taking this two hour tour on a tram through the northern part of the Everglades. The guide was very informative and both he and the driver pointed out all sorts of wildlife as we came to them. Learned a lot about the ecology of the Everglades.

“A great tram ride through the Everglades provided by a botanist!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We took a 2 hour tram ride provided by Eric & Katie! Katie is a retired botanist and her husband Eric also very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the Everglades. A great relaxing adventure where we saw juvenile alligators, turtles, red shouldered hawks, and lots of flowers and plants. This is a terrific way to support the national park service, learn something and relax. Try it. It is not a far drive from Miami, or stop there on your way to Naples!

“Wonderful and Informative Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

If you are visiting the Everglades, or passing through the area, I would highly recommend this tour. As many of the reviewers have said, the guides for these tours are incredible; very knowledgeable of the history of the Everglades, the ecology, and the local fauna. Over the course of the two-hour tour you will learn all about how the Everglades came to be, how they are currently threatened, and what’s being done to alleviate threats to the delicate ecosystem. You’ll also see a tremendous amount of alligators, as well as many types of herons, ibis, and egrets. The trams are covered which is an added bonus considering that it’s hard to find shade in the Everglades, and at least on the day I was there strong wind wiped through the tram, making the humidity easily bearable. It is possible to bike the Shark Valley loop, but I’d definitely go with the Tram – there’s a lot to learn about this National Park, and you’ll want to be able to view the surroundings rather than concentrate on not steering your bike into an alligator hole.

“Great two hour experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013 via mobile

The Shark Valley tram tour was a great two hour experience. A guide shows you the 15 mile park road and he will also tell you a lot about the animals, nature and much more. During our tour we've seen a lot of different birds, wildflowers, turtles and off course alligators!
