The rooms at this hotel are furnished rather well, with all the amenities. The beds are very comfortable. They provide a full breakfast daily. That's the good news. Now the bad news, the hotel provided airport shuttle is atrocious. Going to the airport, there is no problem, as the shuttle leaves every hour on the hour. Returning from the airport to the hotel is an entirely different matter. We called at curbside and were told the shuttle is on the way and would be there in fifteen minutes. Thirty five minutes later the shuttle arrived. Halfway to the hotel, the driver gets a telephone call from the hotel and is instructed to go back to the airport and pick up other travelers. Bottom line, we arrived at the hotel one hour and fifteen minutes from when we originally called for pickup

Dear GOG8RS,
I would like to take this time into thanking you for your visit with us at the Hampton Inn Miami-Airport West in September of 2012. I see your high contribution to your TripAdvisor membership, and cannot say how grateful I am to have you chosen to reserve in our hotel during your time here in Miami, FL. I understand some minor inconveniences you may have experienced during the time you were a guest to our facilities, which resulted in a delay for pick-up prior to your arrival back to our hotel to get your vehicle. I definitely appreciate your concerns regarding this matter, bringing up the fact how important it is to have this amenity as part of your stay in our property, especially when all that was needed to be done is get you to your car for the beginning of your trip back home. I would like to ensure you that this issue has been referred to management, improving our coordination with the shuttle transportation services. I do recall of this incident occuring, having the driver return to the airport for another guest that was also waiting for a pick up since there was only one driver available at the time. I thank you again for your patience and cooperation throughout the outcome of this situation, clarifying that this is no regular treatment any guest should encounter. I hope to see you some time soon as a visitor to our facilities, wishing for the second chance we may provide you with into witnessing what our hotel really has to offer.
