The hotel is quite near to the airport and the shuttle service makes it ideal for business travellers as well as those stopping over before boarding a cruise. There's also a shuttle service from the cruise at very reasonable cost.
The rooms are standard but clean and well looked after. Reception staff were very attentive and offered assistance on which take-away places were good (and their recommendation was the best!!).
All in all, a pleasant stay and the noise from planes wasn't too bad.

As the title says, a good place to stay pre-cruise. Shuttle from the airport was fairly efficient. It actually took longer waiting for the shuttle than the drive to the hotel. Even though the shuttle was fairly full, check in was very quick and friendly. That included booking a seat on the cruise shuttle for the next day, which was good as they fill up fast. Up to the room, not sure about other floors but when we stepped off the elevator on the 4th floor the smoke smell was overpowering. This made us nervous, but when we entered the room there was not even a hint of smoke. Whew! Room was standard, 1 King bed. Comfy. Nice flat screen TV, mini fridge (that worked). Not much of a view but hey, its at the airport. Good shower with lots of pressure, this is always important. Good (free) wifi reception in the room. Nice outdoor pool area. Didn't use the pool but the deck was nice to sit around in the morning with a coffee before the port shuttle. Bennigans next door is the only restaurant nearby. Atmosphere is nice, Irish Pub style. It was fairly empty mid afternoon so the service was good. Beer was cold and food was hot and tastey so can't ask for much more. Breakfast was okay. Very busy place in the morning with the cruise crowd getting ready to sail, so be patient for the toaster and waffle maker. No hot buffet (eggs or meat) but lots of bread/bagel/muffins. They tried to keep up the waffle mix and coffee as best they could but the place was busy. We were booked on the 1100 port shuttle. The 1000 shuttle was on time so that was a good sign. However the 1100 was late (1130) so the 1200 crowd was starting to show up which caused some confusion. Good thing names were taken the day before. They load you by your ship for drop off which is a good plan. Once loaded the trip was smooth and uneventful. Easy traffic to the port on a Sunday at noon. All in all a pleasant place to stay for a night before a cruise. The price was right (military rate) and we would stay again.
