The hotel is bland but not horrible. It is nothing one would expect for $250 per night though. VERY large rooms, but one half of the suite has a really bad ant infestation. Perhaps if you stayed in your room and didn't venture into any other portions of the hotel you might have an adequate stay, but that really isn't possible. The comp dinner & breakfast were a surprise, but then again so was the horrid scene that plays out in the dining room. No less than 20 kids all running around the place, jumping off of chairs, yelling all the way across the dining room, wrestling each other to the floor. The dining room looked like a summer camp for kids with no parents! All the while, the dining room supervisor just looks on at the mayhem but the plates never get empty in the plate dispenser. Even the grand piano in the lobby has suffered from this as half of the keys don't even work. I spoke with the woman at the front desk, whom I can't begin to imagine could hear the words that I was speaking but couldn't hear the clash of pre-adolescent monsters crashing into each other just 60 feet from her. She said that she'd talk to the manager, who did finally come out about 10 minutes later and did speak with the worst of the really bad parents. 3 monsters down and only 17 to go. My 21 year old daughter just starred in disbelief at the behavior. I will not be having breakfast here and I wouldn't dream of staying here again! I can only imagine the lack of management in this hotel who would sacrifice the marginal reputation they already have by not "managing" the dining room and foyer area of the hotel. There is an old fishing proverb that says "a fish rots from the head". I can only imagine that this is also true of hotels. The managements inability to recognize civilized behavior and to insist on this in a hotel that prices itself in this price range and offers hi-speed WIFI and bills itself as a suite hotel is dumbfounding to say the least. If I were the corporate manager and saw this kind on shananagans in one of my hotels, I wouldn't hesitate to fire this manager on the spot! They are absolutely wasting their money marketing this hotel to vacationers who are looking for a little peace & quiet or business people who actually want to accomplish something in the common areas of the hotel without suffering a big glob of jelly thrown onto their laptop in the middle of a project by an out-of-control parentless child. Never again! NOT for grown ups. NOT for people raised indoors. NOT for romantic weekends. NOT for honeymooners.
Room Tip: Choose a room far, far, far away from the hotel entrance, away from the front desk and far, far, far...
