“Modern hotel close to the airport!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Despite a very ordinary exterior, we were pleasantly surprised to find a modern, sleek interior which was clean and welcoming. The front desk staff were very helpful and recommended an amazing local restaurant. They also suggested using the hotel shuttle to get there and back - it will ferry guests anywhere in a 3 mile radius of the hotel. The room (which happened to be wheelchair accessible) was well appointed and attractive. We didn't have the opportunity to sample the breakfast as our flight left too early but we were able to grab a quick cup of coffee. All-in-all this is a very nice hotel which is conveniently located only 5 minutes from Miami International Airport.

This is an elegant, clean, ultra modern and green place to stay. My husband and I were so impressed with the service, the style and the overall class of this hotel. Hats off to Maggie, Anton and the amazing Italian driver of the shuttle from the airport. They all took the edge off of an otherwise very frustrating trip.

We stayed at the Element Miami the night before setting off on a 7-night cruise. One main reason for booking this hotel was that, at least at the time, they had a package where you could get a 1 night stay along with 7 days of parking and one-way transfer to the cruise terminal for about $140 - which is about how much just the parking is at the cruise terminal. We were very pleased with the hotel. It was clean, the rooms were well appointed and had great amenities. The included breakfast was very exceptional! There were hot and cold items along with coffee, juice, milk, smoothie shots, and even an espresso machine! The only reason I did not give 5 stars was for the front desk service. We found them to be somewhat cold - not necessarily unfriendly but not welcoming either. The two girls behind the desk were also a bit catty towards each other - which is unprofessional. Still, this certainly would not deter me from another stay.

Extremely nice hotel just minutes from the Miami Airport. Rooms was a little small very well done and full of extras. The courtyard was an awesome spot to lounge about, with a firepit and pool area. Breakfast was full of options and the coffee frest brewed. Staff were always helpful and seemed to be willing to go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommend and will return, even if just for a layover while traveling.

Room Tip: take advantage of the outside area, very well done

The Element Hotel is a very nice hotel. The nightly happy hour was very nice. Very crowded however, with the many guests who were there also. The morning breakfast time was very crowded as well, multiple guests eating, or trying to eat, very busy time. The room itself was very nice. The shower was nice, it had the shampoo, and shower gel in the wall, where you didn't have bottles to get out and fumble around with. That was a nice treat. There was no ice maker in our fridge, so, we had to go down to the front desk to request ice, as there are no large ice makers in the hallways. Disappointed that they only had an outside pool, as the weather was bad and an inside pool would have been nice The shuttle bus which took us from the hotel to the Port of Miami for the ships did seem to be on the shady side of the business realm. The price per person was only $12 a person, however, the 12 yr old boy translating for the father driving the bus, did seem on the shady side. This hotel is right next to the airport, so, you do see and hear planes taking off at all hours.

Liked the shuttle pickup/dropoff, the rooms were decent. The breakfast was actually not bad, they had the notion of yogurt shots which was nice. Overall, a good place to stay overnight if you are going to fly out the next day (5 minutes from airport).

My husband and I stayed at element during the holiday season in 2013. The stay was great, they gave us an upgrade when we found something wrong with the room. The breakfast had a good variety. The rooms are cozy, neat, & smell good. We loved that they have a shuttle that can take you out to places nearby 24 hours. The hotel staff were helpful. The fitness center also was great to work out at. All of this at a competitive price! And they are eco friendly too.

Room Tip: Try getting a room facing the swimming pool - great view.
