“Met all expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

We stayed for the night because we had a short stopover in Miami en route to Latin America, and we were content. The hotel is brand new, so everything is in excellent condition. We were upgraded since we are spg guests, which meant we also got a living room and kitchen. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was set up for travelers on the go, and they were welcoming to our dog. Given the price and that we had less than 12 hours in miami, we have absolutely no complaints.

Room Tip: If you are a spg guest, make sure the hotel knows.

“This Hotel Rocks!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

This hotel is right in the middel between the airport and the port (7miles). It is well appointed like brand new too!. The room I had was like a mini condo. It had a full kitchen, appliances, a seperate sitting area, wrok station, seperate master suite and a beautiful bathroom. This room was GREAT!! the one thing about this hotel is that you cant walk anywhere from here, seriously there is nothing around it except an industrial park. The upside to that though is they have free shuttles to the bars, grocerie stores, resteraunts, everywere you need to go and it's 24/7. They have a free breakfast here with sausage, eggs, pancakes, specialty coffee really a nice spread. I HIGHLY reccomend this hotel!!

Room Tip: The North side of hotel faces a river/ park, its amazing......

“A hidden gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

Getting there:

The hotel is pretty much hidden in a street adjacent to South River Dr., just east of Miami International Airport. Parking is $9 per day and there's plenty of spaces. The hotel also offers something unique, which is special rates for guests cruising out of the port of Miami, where they will include one-way transportation to the port and included parking at the hotel for up to 7 nights, so you can leave your car at the hotel and not have to pay the exorbitant port parking fees. The hotel also has free breakfast and free high-speed internet, and they were both very good.

Check-in:

The check-in process was simple and quick, and the staff was very friendly and had very good room suggestions when I asked them which one I should get. The lobby is well lit, very modern, with plenty of couches, modern chairs and meeting tables, a big screen TV, and a view to the pool. There is a small market where you can buy snacks and drinks for the room. The fitness center is near the lobby, and it had plenty of equipment and lots of space.

The Room:

We were shocked to walk into such a great, fancy and clean room for only 3,000 SPG points. The room was actually a one-bedroom suite. It was very modern and it had a fully-equipped kitchen, two TVs, large fridge, dishes and silverware, cooking utensils, dishwasher and all other necessities. It also had a working desk, and a folding 4-person dining-room table with 4 neat ottoman-like chairs. The bathroom and the glass-door shower were huge. The best part: The windows were sound-proof, so even with planes taking off nearby, we couldn't hear them!

The next morning we woke up at 9:30 a.m. and went straight for breakfast as the cutoff was 10:00 a.m. I had asked for late check out just to enjoy the hotel a couple of more hours and we just stayed in the room until 1:30 p.m. On the way out we visited the pool, which was spacious and quiet, and the fitness room.

Overall impression:

The only issue is location, as it is an industrial area which is deserted and dark at night, so you will need a car, the shuttle, or a cab. During the day is fine to walk to nearby LeJeune Rd. Great option when visiting Miami. Nearby Metrorail station for public transportation. By taking advantage of SPG's 5th night free promotion, anyone visiting Miami can stay at this hotel for 5 nights for a total of only 12,000 SPG points. With free airport shuttle, internet and breakfast, plus fully-equipped kitchens so you can save some money on food, it just doesn't get any better than this when you're traveling on a budget.

Room Tip: Face the north side, away from planes taking off and landing. North side also faces the pool. Better...

“Excellent price, courteous efficient service, great amenities!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

Stayed here before and after cruise. So convenient to airport and included shuttle service ( which took a little longer than desired but efficient none the less). Priced very favorably and continental breakfast has many more items than expected. Room size and design very modern and includes impressive kitchen facilities. Outdoor heated pool and adjacent shower very clean and conducive to sunbathing. One drawback is location which seems distant from shops or restaurant facilities. However, for our purpose everything was great. And last but not least...the courteous, helpful assistance of staff was very notable. This especially when we returned home and thought we had left our camera in the suite. The front desk personnel was gracious and quick to inquire into lost and found and the head of housekeeping promptly returned my phone call. Would gladly stay here again!

“Ultra modern hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

This is an ultra modern hotel, ikea feel to it. Clean with excellent staff and one awesome 24 hour coffee station. Let me tell you I got my money's worth out of the cafe latte as they were the best I've had and I had a lot of them there too. Great shuttle service but DON'T us it to go to he Kmart plaza as it was not a great area. The rooms, shower and bed were awesome but get the rooms in the back as the view is great. The breakfast was more then we thought it would be, healthy and diverse. The location was the only issue I had, nothing close to walk to and the area did not feel that great to walk in.

Room Tip: Don't use the shuttle to the Kmart and get the rooms facing the back.
