“Close location to Coconut Grove Art Festival”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

This is a perfect location to enjoy the art festival and close to many fabulous Coconut Grove Restaurants. The beautiful warm weather with water front breezes and proximity to everything is wonderful. We didn't need our car the entire long weekend. THe Ritz is beautiful and the staff very nice. It almost meets the typical Ritz standards but there are other Ritz hotels that have perfected the "Ritz experience" The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. It was a busy weekend and when we arrived they were out of King beds so we had two doubles and wish they had been Queens. He offered to look for a king the next night and we were told he would get back to us but never did. The house keeping staff does a wonderful job keeping the bathrooms stocked with fresh fluffy towels and a nice turn down service in the evenings. Our bell man and concierge secured complimentary tickets to the art festival which was a wonderful added bonus! The pool is peaceful and the drinks are fantastic. Do ask for the chair covers as the thick chair pads are in need of a good washing:) It is a truly beautiful older hotel and the stay was great but for the reward points, I think there are other Ritz Carlton's (Naples, Palm Beach and Key Biscayne) that seem to really reach out to make sure you have an amazing Ritz Carlton experience. This was our second trip to this hotel and we will come back- I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views- if possible ask for waterfront views.

Dear travelop,

We appreciate your feedback and that you have chosen to share it with us. Even though you did enjoy your stay, I do apologize for the lapse in follow up that you did not receive from our Ladies and Gentlemen. We will use these opportunities to learn, grow and perfect the Ritz-Carlton mystique. The Arts Festival was a tremendous weekend and the location of our property for it was second to none. We had a lot of people park with us because of the short distance it took takes to walk there from our property.

We appreciate the feedback and look forward to having you stay with us again soon.

Kind Regards,

Had a 45 day conference here and it was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive without being overly solicitous. The rooms were nice (though could have used more drawer space for clothes as was with my spouse). The food and amenities were wonderful.

Room Tip: There is construction going on the street in front of the hotel so I would recommend requesting a ro...

Dear BoSoxKen,

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful experience with us. I am happy to hear that we were able to provide such a comfortable experience during, what must’ve been, a very long 45 day conference. There is nothing like having a long day of meetings and then going to your room feeling as if you were at home. I apologize about the city construction in front of our property, but am glad to inform you that they are completely finished with the project.

We look forward to having you stay with us again soon. I hope the meetings went your way.

Kind Regards,

I traveled here for a work conference. I arrived with other coworkers at 10am and surprisingly our rooms were ready. The resort is beautiful, but it is that traditional luxury look that is becoming dated in general. The conference services team executed a perfect conference.

My room was appointed nicely. The beds were very comfortable and maybe the best I slept in all year. Forget Starwood's Heavenly Bed. The bed at this Ritz is 100x times better.

My interactions with all staff was met with a smile.

We are thrilled to hear that you were able to get a good nights rest in order to prepare you for a long day of conferences. I get to the Miami area periodically for business and have stayed here 3 times. This is a great choice. The only drag is the construction on the road in front of the hotel makes it nearly impossible to get in the place.

Once inside, no worries. I would highly recommend this Ritz.

Room Tip: Watch out for the construction on the road in front of the hotel.

Dear intrepidtravelerfla,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the TripAdvisor community. The construction in front of the hotel can be confusing at times. The best way to get to the property is to travel East of 27th avenue from US1. The city has informed us that both sides of the road will be open February 17, 2012, just in time for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. We look forward to welcoming you back to our property shortly.

I attended a small conference at this hotel and was much impressed with the character and service at the hotel. First, it's big enough to have all of the niceties of a great hotel without being one of those sprawling monstrosities with a half mile walk from room to lobby.
Once you step out of your cab, the fabulous service begins - the bellmen, front desk and even the housekeeping staff greeted you with a smile and willingness to help in any way possible.
For those of you planning a trip for vacation - be warned, this is not a beach property. The water is a couple of blocks away and even that isn't really a beach. The area around the hotel has dozens of great restaurants, bars and shops.
And my final comment - I find it absolutely rediculous that a hotel of this class would find they must "nick" their customers for an additional ten bucks for internet service. It would seem that somewhere in the operating costs of a 300+ a night room you could squeeze out the few cents required to maintain the internet.

I arrived today and met wonderful front desk staff on my arrival.

Two really nice guys who gave me an upgrade to a suite, which I am so grateful for.
I flew 23 hours from Singapore for a 2 day work conference.

I sent pictures to my wife...back at home with 3 kids in Singapore...oopppss

Just a nice feeling hotel. We had a work function in the outside terrace area tonight which everyone felt bad about because they put on this wonderful food and almost everyone had already eaten beforehand.

The female host was very inviting. Sorry folks. It was excellent though. My mother
would have scolded all of us !!

Stay here...Seriously.

It is Ritz Carlton standard.

The staff here at Ritz Carton Coconut Grove should be proud.

Nice work guys,,,see you again soon - and our next conference WILL BE HERE !

I promise.

Room Tip: Be nice. The hotel staff here are great people.. Enjoy life.

Dear JetsetterinAsia,

Thank you for sharing your “Wow Story” with us and the TripAdvisor community. We understand how tired you must be after, what may feel like, a flight that never ends. I am glad that the two gentlemen were able to provide you with the finest accommodations we have to offer. We also appreciate the pictures of the suite that you posted. The suite is typical sold for an additional $150 per night and as you know is a great value. We look forward to the next time you stay with us and bring your wife and three kids.

We stayed here for 2 nights in January, and loved the hotel - from the friendly and efficient service at check-in, the always present and helpful valets, the spacious, clean and pleasant room and the delicious breakfast. It is located in the quiet and pleasant Coconut grove, just minutes from Brickell.

Room Tip: We stayed in an executive suite, a truly excellent room with spacious sitting and dining area, a des...
