“Very enjoyable day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

We did the key west tour which we booked with snorkeling.
The bus was a little late to pick us up, however when it did arrive our guide filled us in telling us we could all just sit back and relax leaving our stresses behind. We stopped for toilet and food on the way down.
The snorkelling was a good choice as it was soooo hot. We enjoyed a drink and lunch at the bar nearby before our snorkeling trip started. Then after we had time to have another drink and nibbles before we wondered through a part of the town to meet the bus. If you do this trip, stop and buy a piece of key lime pie to eat while walking, delicious!
We found the tour well organised, informative. It is bilingual Spanish and English.
Overall a good day out and we are so pleased we did it.

“Good tour of Miami, not very good service with the pick-up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

We recently took the Miami City Tour as part of a the Miami City Tour - Biscayne Bay combo. We really enjoyed our tour itself. Our stops included the largest cigar factory in the city (for a bathroom break) where they gave us a free sample of Cuban coffee plus across the street was the park where older gentlemen play dominoes. The tour also took us through Little Havana and South Beach plus parts of downtown Miami. The tour ended back at Bayshore Mall for lunch (on our own as noted). The only complaint that we had was with the pick up service. Since we stayed in rental property outside of Miami, our pickup point was at Bayside Mall (where many tour companies pick up). When I called to re-confirm our tour, we were told to be at Bayside for a 9am pickup (tour voucher said 8:45am) and to look for a small tour bus from Admiral Tours. We arrived at 8:30am just to be sure and we were still waiting at 9:20am. At this point, I called Gray Line to see what was going on and while on hold waiting for the operator to find out where the driver was, a small tour bus with Miami Tours Plus came up. I asked the driver about our tour and he said to hop on board and he would take us to a central point where our tour would start. While picking up others throughout South Beach and downtown, we still weren't really sure were were on the right bus as others seemed to have the same question. After about 30 minutes picking up other people for other tours, most for the Everglades, we ended up meeting up with another bus which was our tour (also marked Miami Tour Plus). While we enjoyed our tour itself (driver was great), the pick-up part of the service made us quite nervous and disappointed with Gray Line. I never saw any indication of this being Gray Line Tours or Admiral Tours. I understand that tour companies sometime work together when they don't have enough to fill their tours thus combining to one company's tour but this was never told to me or explained in any way. I expect more out of Gray Line and was disappointed in this part of the service. This will factor into my decision in using Gray Line for tours in the future.

“Ft. Lauderdale to Key West”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

We took the Ft. Lauderdale to Key West tour with snorkeling excursion in Key West on Monday, April 7, 2014. The trip began with a pick-up at the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale, which was scheduled for 6:20 AM. The driver of the van arrived closer to 6:45 AM to take us to Miami to meet our bus. In Miami, we waited an additional 30 minutes or so for the bus to arrive. The bus ride down to Key West was okay. It included a stop in Florida City for 15 minutes for "breakfast and bathroom". At this stop our guide (I think her name was Lilly) picked up 4 people, explaining that they were a family in need and since we had room on the bus she would help them out with ride. We didn't think much of it at the time, but more on this later.
We made good time to Key West and the narration from the tour guide was good, although her strong Spanish accent and language characteristics made her hard to understand sometimes. In Key West, we thoroughly enjoyed our snorkel trip but had little time for anything else.
The ride home was were things really went bad. First, the "family" we picked up in Florida City also received a ride back! We don't know what the real story is with this, but 4 people appeared to have received a free ride on a bus that the rest of us had to pay for. Gray Line really needs to look into what happened here and if they have a policy that it is okay to pick up "hitch-hikers" they may want rethink it. We are not opposed to helping people in need, but do it with your own car and on your own time. Next, we did not have a single bathroom break the whole ride home, but we did have time to stop to drop off the "family." Really?! Finally, the bus stopped at 5 or 6 different hotels in Miami to drop people off - not one central location but each group was taken to their individual hotel. It took about 5 hours for us to finally arrive at our drop-off location in Ft. Lauderdale. Additionally, the bus was very hot for the whole ride home.
While there were some good aspects of this trip, we give it an overall POOR rating due to the inconsiderate behavior of the tour guide with the ridiculously long ride home without a break and too many stops in Miami, and also our concern over the apparent "free riders". We will never use Grey Line again and will not recommend this trip to anyone.

“Good information, very bumpy ride”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

We enjoyed the information and the tour around the city, but the driver seemed to drive faster than necessary and the bus ride was very rough. Granted, there was a lot of street construction so the roads were not smooth, But the bus felt like it had no shock absorbers and the windows rattled so much we could hardly hear the narration. It was, however, an easy way to get around the city without having to drive.
