We dined at Lulu's January 19, 2014
Move over Green Street, this is our new favorite dinning spot in the Grove. The service is among the best in Miami and you don't have to pay a fortune for it! For those new to the Miami dinning experience, you may find there is much to be desired in the service department - outside of fine dinning. Kudos to our server Shannon and his colleague Alan - professional and entertaining.
It was my first visit so Shannon recommended some of his favorite items...all of which were excellent! Don't be deterred by the tapas style dinning. I ordered the skirt steak and brussel sprouts - it was filling and reasonably priced. I would have stopped there but everything was so good we decided to give the roasted dates a try - they were divine, bacon wrapped and stuffed with Manchego, amazing. My friends ordered scallops, goat cheese croquettes, and beef carpaccio. All were a hit and have made the "must-order-next-time" list. Unfortunately we were too so stuffed for desert so we'll have to go back.
If you're into specialty cocktails then try the Harvest Moon (passion fruit, tart and tangy) and Sangria. The sangria was very good, don't know how they make it but it tasted more authentic - the fruit was fresh and there was a hint of brandy or grand marnier or something similar.
Bottom line you won't be disappointed! See you soon Lulu's.
