Description: A funky neighborhood joint with a sophisticated vibe. Globally influenced seasonal cuisine and infused drinks. Neighborfood.Lulu is a vision of what an outdoor sidewalk restaurant should be, where Commodore meets Main Highway in the center of Coconut Grove; a funky neighborhood joint with a sophisticated vibe, a place that will connect people and start a conversation; a meeting venue that will serve dishes to share around a drink.Lulu is the combined effort of individual strengths coming together to create a rhythmic, interplaying, and improvisational masterpiece where each player riffs off his or her own talents and history to bring a fresh, new perspective to the ongoing story. At Lulu, we believe patrons and friends are looking for more than just a deal. It is not so much about the bargain, but where you want to spend your money; besides the quality of food and service, it is about contributing to the health of a community, by sponsoring local charities and offering the option to everyone to do the same.

“Great food & service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

We dined at Lulu's January 19, 2014

Move over Green Street, this is our new favorite dinning spot in the Grove. The service is among the best in Miami and you don't have to pay a fortune for it! For those new to the Miami dinning experience, you may find there is much to be desired in the service department - outside of fine dinning. Kudos to our server Shannon and his colleague Alan - professional and entertaining.

It was my first visit so Shannon recommended some of his favorite items...all of which were excellent! Don't be deterred by the tapas style dinning. I ordered the skirt steak and brussel sprouts - it was filling and reasonably priced. I would have stopped there but everything was so good we decided to give the roasted dates a try - they were divine, bacon wrapped and stuffed with Manchego, amazing. My friends ordered scallops, goat cheese croquettes, and beef carpaccio. All were a hit and have made the "must-order-next-time" list. Unfortunately we were too so stuffed for desert so we'll have to go back.

If you're into specialty cocktails then try the Harvest Moon (passion fruit, tart and tangy) and Sangria. The sangria was very good, don't know how they make it but it tasted more authentic - the fruit was fresh and there was a hint of brandy or grand marnier or something similar.

Bottom line you won't be disappointed! See you soon Lulu's.

“We love this spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

Took our friends to the Grove last night -- a welcome reprieve from the Sobe scene. They, like us, loved Lulus. I know it as the best post-ride brunch spot for my cycling club, but dinners are equally terrific. We prefer it over the frantic and mediocre spots in CoCo Walk and the two block extra walk is quite pleasant. But we recommend a weeknight unless you have plans to join the bar scene later. On weekends in high season the Grove is jammed and parking can be a hassle. My fresh snapper was especially delightful, and we all shared a scrumptious tres leche for dessert.

“Nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

We had the goat cheese croquettes, artichoke dip, fish tacos, scallops and the lulu burger. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Best if all was the triple creme brûlée. If you don't mind a little hustle and bustle, sit outside.

“More like 3 1/2 stars”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

Second choice - as seems the rule - when wait at Green Street (across the street) too long. Wonderful outdoor patio but our table of 8 was at a high top that did not have enough shade. Umbrellas only somewhat effective. We baked. Smiling service but not all that responsive or effective. Had to ask for condiments multiple times. No refills in waters or beverages (other than alcoholic). Kitchen erratic too. Staggered meal delivery and some very good and some "ehhhh". Appeared a bit pricey but this is Coconut Grove. Finally others hovering waiting for table which made "dining" difficult.
