Description: Our dining room dining room falls somewhere between red-velvet regal and Slum Dog casual, with white table linens, fresh roses and vinyl-coated menus. There's gentle, tinkling music, authentic if slightly wooze-inducing incense and, for better weather, a petite patio. Our menu is centered mostly on the northern half of the country but includes fiery Goan specialties and henna-red vindaloo. Our knowledgeable, welcoming and sincere staff makes ordering easy for novices. Meals begin with a complimentary stack of crisp pappadom with thimbles of thick-cut onion chutney and a green-as-fresh-cut-grass coriander version for dipping. A side order of mixed chutneys yields store-bought but no less delicious sour mango pickle and sweet mango chutney. Come visit our lovely, value-priced dreamy addition to Coconut Grove!

“Great Service and Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

My girlfriend and I have dined at Bombay Darbar about a half-dozen times in the last 2 years, and have always been very happy with the service and the wonderful Indian food. We love the Garlic Naan and the Butter Chicken. We order them "medium hot", which is plenty spicy for us. We always order a Biryani (basmati rice, either vegetable, chicken, lamb or shrimp), and there's plenty to take home for leftovers. Last time, I had the Lamb Chop Masala, which was very good. Some of the indoor tables are a bit small, with much traffic passing nearby, so we sat outdoors, enjoying the cool evening. Service has always been friendly and fast. We'll be back, for sure.

“One of the best Indian's I have been to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013 via mobile

With son at the U down the road this has become our go to place in the Grove, haven't found better in Miami although one on key biscayne is close. Book ahead as gets busy and is small. Staff are friendly and the lamb chops are a must.

“Excellent, Excellent and only excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

After journey of 30 minutes from Miami Down Town, we reached to Bombay Darbar at 08:45 pm. Inspite of heavily booked, plus lots of advance reservations in their hand, (on our request for 2 seats, because we were leaving early morning for Australia,) they accommodated us immediately. We found this only first Indian Restaurant in Miami in such a full condition with lots of advance bookings in hand and people waiting for their turn for Seats. On arrival we could imagine how popular this restaurant must be. and after tasting the food we can say: EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT and only EXCELLENT. Food was really tasty in line what we wanted, service was also nice, atmosphere fine and price reasonable too. Really No1 restaurant in Coral Govel.

“Very good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

My husband and I love this place. Great vegetarian entrees and good pricing. - Just a clarification it's in Coconut Grove, not Coral Gables. Located in a very cute downtown area with lots of restaurants and some shops.
