This was the best 4 hours of our rental. Renting a boat is that thing that you need to do while in Miami. You don't really get a feel for how beautiful Miami is until you see it from the water. This was our first time renting a boat, and you have to leave a security deposit, so we were extremely nervous. The staff really boosted our confidence though. Their instructions along with the GPS that came in the boat make it overly simple. They cover a map of the area and give you a suggested route, then cover instructions on the boat, and send you on your way. We spent 2 hours cruising the city (downtown, the port, miami beach, star island, fisher island, key biscayne), then went to the sandbar for about 2 hours for lunch and swimming. My family hasn't stopped talking about this ride. Do yourself a favor and see Miami from the water.

We rented a 24', very nice boat. We checked the boat before heading out, were told to be carefull in shallow waters, needless to say we have had our own boats and know how to handle engines and propellors. When we brought the boat back they checked everything in a very rude manner, and we where charged $400 for having shined the propellor because we went through shallow waters which they also claim gets sand into the engine and they have to call a mechanic to service the propellor and clean out the sand, well sorry to tell you that anyways you, american watersports, has to service and maintain your boats, it is very easy and convenient to charge clients for it, when you rent a cat they do not charge for wearing out the tires.... Very very dissapointed at how you treat your clients and will never recommend you to anybody

rented a boat with my son for a half day. We had alot of fun our plan was to go fishing, we didnt end up catching much except for a few little fish we let go but the boat was brand new and in great shape and we had such a good day. we will definitely return! Thanks!

We hired a boat for a full day with a captain, tube, and wakeboard. We had the pleasure of spending the day with Captain Carl. He was very charming and knowledgeable. The boat that we rented was brand new and very clean. Interaction with the staff was great, Lindsey is very personable and easy to deal with.

We started the day with a couple hours of tubing. Carl took us to a calm area just south of downtown Miami. The view was great and Carl was very helpful for some beginners. After tubing we took about two hours to cruise through downtown, up the Miami River, through BaySide, past Star Island, and South Beach and finally anchored at a sand bar near Key Biscayne. After lunch and an hour or so of swimming we tried the wake board. Wakeboarding is very challenging but a fun experience.

Finally we returned to the Marina, returned the boat and parted ways with American Watersports. We will be back to try out the jet skis. Very good service and a great location. Perfect for a family with kids.
