We stayed at the J.W. before leaving on a Celebrity cruise. We happened to mention that it was our anniversary when checking in and without even asking we were surprised with an upgraded room. Our room had a corner view of Biscayne Bay and it was stunning! We felt as if we had stepped directly into a fabulous Miami penthouse and not a "hotel room". The bathroom was incredible, the rooms were huge, the staff was friendly and always professional. We had room service brought to the room and with what was undoubtedly one of the best views in Miami it was so relaxing and enjoyable. All in all it was a beautiful and fun way to start a vacation and we could have easily put off the cruise and stayed a little longer.

Clean, modern, convenient, easy, and relaxing business hotel. Love the bathrooms and the beds! The rooms are well appointed, the desk space was so perfect I took a picture to try and find for our home office, the amenities are luxurious and the bath was delightful. Great separate shower, marble double vanities and the best Illy coffee maker in your room!!!!

Wow, what a fab hotel. Booked via Trivago, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. We tried to check in at 8am (check-in time usually 4pm) and were given a fantastic bay view room straight away. Daniel could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Excellent facilities at the hotel, including a brilliant open air pool on floor 19, and fully equipped gym on floor 20. The bar at the hotel is fab and the staff very friendly. Could not have asked for better. Would recommend!!

Everything about my stay was fantastic. The front desk staff was excellent, the concierge recommended and booked us a table at Zuma- a wonderful Japanese restaurant across the street- he even managed to get us a table in the nicer dining area on short notice. We also ate at DB Bistro in the hotel and it was excellent.
The decor and standard of the room was top notch. The bathroom was huge, the room was spacious and the view was incredible. I was in town on business and the room had a large desk with views of the bay and the large screen TV, internet was free which was great.
I did not have a chance to use the pool or other facilities.

I am now hoping I have to return to Miami just so I can stay here again.

For a business hotel, it's hard to beat this one. Excellent service provided by smiling people, fast elevators, and the room, oh! the room: absolute silence; perfect a/c; great mattress; a huge flat-screen TV with digital channels; a PC in the desk with internet access; fast speed wi-fi with strong signal; great bathroom with sauna-like shower and separate tub, and a small flat-screen tv integrated with the mirror (with a water-resistant remote control); 3 phones, one being a cordless. Final touch: an espresso machine by Illy with 4 excellent complimentary capsules daily. I was at a convention that took place in the 3rd floor, and again everything was perferct there, from sound and projection to seats and food. How great to find a place like this. The folks at Marriott really know what the're doing here.

Indeed it is. Everything is top notch. The beds are one of the most comfortable I have slept in, the linen is of highest quality, the decor is so Zen-like, the bathrooms are huge with separate tub, walk-in shower, double vanities and high-end bath amenities, the service is prompt and with a smile and the food is of high quality. I was trying very hard to come up with areas of improvement but couldn't find any. This hotel is Marquis in every sense - service, stay, ambiance, cleanliness, beds, hospitality and views. Stay here if you have a choice.

Room Tip: Corner rooms with windows on three sides offer spectacular view
