we'd heard all of these horrific things about little haiti, but it certainly isn't true in the slightest!!
this hotel is really the best, as far as i'm concerned, especially for those who are culturally adventurous. it's in the up-and-coming MoBe area. Our room was spectacularly decorated in a minimalist sense. the pool was great. it's a quick drive to Miami beach and to the downtown area. the staff are true characters. the hotel was filled with germans and a few latin americans. the parking lot in the back can be a bit of a challenge, so you might want to park on the bicayne boulevard side. the traffic noise is a bit intense. the outside coffee area was a divine place to read a book and sit in the shade. we'll be back. plus, the price was a real bargain.

Room tip: get one of the rooms in the back of the hotel by the pool. it's a lot quieter there.

The hotel is located on Biscayne Blvd, wich has everything you need: entertainment, fast food, supermarket and pharmacies all over it. Also, it has easy access to Miami Beach and it`s near Miami International Airport and Miami Port. The rooms are nice and clean, air conditioner, hot water, cable tv, wifi, pool, and has a nice breakfast in a open place with trees, nice served. Also, Charles and Mimi did everything they could to please us in everything we asked them, This was our first ever stay on a Hotel outside our country and we were impressed by their profissionalism. Thank you so much Charles and Mimi! Cheers from Brazil!

Room tip: I belive that the rooms next to the office has better wifi signal.

Some reviews say this is hotel is a pig with lipstick on, however, the pig is nice enough, and its only a thin layer of lipstick. However the hotel IS worn. But definitely not horrible, as some reviews say. I can't say if it's good value for the money, but prices are not high. Location ... naaaah.

Breakfast is served outside in the "garden", which was nice and quiet. Also our room was not facing the street, and with a very quiet AC, so sleep quality was very good. Room could definitely need a new carpet, but otherwise the room was ok and clean. We didn't try the pool, but if you can ignore the fact that nearest neighbour is a twenty store condemned building, I suppose you can have a nice dip.

Room tip: Probably a good idea to avoid rooms facing the street (noise). We had a room on the ground floor and parking just outside, very convenient.

We stayed 1 night and will never be back. I will start with the pros:
The room was clean when we arrived, which is to be expected.
And now the cons:
- Location of the hotel is in a seedy area
- The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The shower had black mold all over the caulk and one of the faucets was actually broken. The water temp wouldn't stay the same so I got scalded and then doused with freezing water repeatedly.
- There is no coffee maker
- There is no clock
- There were no cups
- I've never been in a hotel where I could literally hear the conversation of the people talking in a regular tone in the room next to me.
- Starting at 5 am the pipes from some other rooms shower started squealing so loud that it was unbearable (We told the staff about this and they did not offer us any compensation for our terrible stay. In fact, the woman was extremely rude to us for notifying her of the loud pipe issue)
- The 'decor' is terrible. This is not a boutique hotel. The decor consisted of 1 round plastic lamp. Really, that is all that was in there.

They charged us $100 for 1 night of hell. I will never be back and I honestly can't believe that any of the positive reviews are real.

It was unfortunate that you were not satisfied with your stay, The front desk was not told that there was an issue with your room until check out and unfortunately at this time she was not able to change your room nor offer you a refund because she was not inform that there was a problem until check out. Our staff could have offered you an additional room if they had known that you had an issue with the pipes. Yes the building is forty years old and we are limited to changes.

Sincerely

We stayed in this hotel one week and we were satisfied. The room was clean every day, housekeepers did really great job. Staff was very nice, I want to mentioned about receptionist Charles, he was always ready to help us when we needed some advices and help. Breakfast was really good and tasty and pool was clean. We would like to get back to this hotel next time. Thank you.
