“Classy Place in a not-so-classy area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2011

Free Breakfast, Free Parking, Free Internet! Courteous staff, cool rooms and comfortable beds. Only downside is the area isn't the greatest but the hotel is safe. Would stay here again.

The motel is located about 20-30 minutes from sobe but to visit Miami you'll need a car anyway.
The only major coment i'd have would the room size (good for 1 person) and the medium breakfast (free) but they offer free wifi (rooms inclusive), free parking ( for Miami is a diferecial) and have great staff and prices too.
Definily recomended.

The New Yorker boutique hotel was a pleasure at first sight! It's vintage outdoor lighting is in keeping with the ambience of its location in historical "Little Haiti'. The area is convenient to the airport and on a main boulevard so I think those staying for a Miami experience would find getting around convenient. The friendly desk clerk welcomed me and directed me not only to my room but to a great restaurant on the next block. (Show your room key for a ten percent discount on your meal.) The retro style room was clean and well-equipped but the real delight was the top-of-the-line bedding, very luxurious! I spent a relaxing night, using the staff-provided earplugs to minimize traffic sounds. Next morning I enjoyed great coffee and breakfast items before my free airport shuttle. I can't wait to stay there again!

the position is terrible, there's no way to go anywhere without a car. when we asked the reception to call a taxy for us they said they had a cab driver that was very nice and did special prices for the hotel, too bad the prices where actually higher than the regular ones (56 $ + tip to go and go back to south beach). the neighbourhood is full of prostitutes and weird sketchy people and we didn't feel safe at all. The rooms were pretty big and nice but the bathroom was extremely tiny and not that much clean. Last but not least they charged the total amount of money on the credit card (we were staying 2 nights) before we arrived and signed even if we were meant to pay at the arrival and we had been told it was not necessary to pay with the same credit card we used to make the reservation (me and my boyfriend wanted to split and it wasn't possible) and even if our booking allowed us to have a free cancellation.

It is unfortunate that your feedback regarding your stay with us was not postive,
We strive to accomidate our guest, we provide excellent services in fulfilling our guest needs. Our property is located on a main highway with people from varied backgrounds and undergoing a transitionial process.
We are a historic property and are limited to what we can update and what we cannot.
We are a safe neighborhood with police patroling our community 24 hours daily, doing a great job. Our staff is permitted to recommend service in which our previous guest have exercised these services such as restaurants they enjoyed, taxi services they used and places they visit while in Miami and were100% satisfied with theses services. When guest book their room either on Booking.com Expedia, Orbitz and our website it clearly advises the client that they will be charged at time of booking and in the event our guest arrives at our property and would like to use another method of payment we can certainly issue them a refund on the credit card used when booking their reservation.
Thank you for making the New Yorkrer Boutique Hotel your choice

This is a nice place to stay when you are in budget, the area is no the most appealing side of Miami, but everything is pretty much 15 minutes away, South beach, Lincoln rd, Bayside.
The parking is bit cramped but free of charge, the front desk was very helpful and understanding. This "Motel" is located on a highway so is kinda noisy if you get a room facing the street.
The room was clean and has nice decor, The rooms have no dressers so that is a down side if you stay for more than one night, other than that was a good place to stay.

We booked this hotel online because the price was "right". The hotel manager came to pick us up from the airport. Now where do you get that and when we coordinated our times he would drive us to where we needed to go and pick us up like a pre-arranged taxi service but at lower price. Him and his staff were very friendly and helpful.
