“Excellent Tour in Spite of a Couple of Problems”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

My wife and I took this tour with a couple from Germany. It did not start out really well as their credit card machine was down and that meant we had to come up with $110 in cash for the four of us, which we luckily had. Erik was our guide and he was very friendly and encouraged questions from the tour members about the Everglades and animals. There were about 15 of us in the airboat. At one of the stops, the airboat would not restart and it took about 15 minutes before he could finally get the engine started again. The delay did not matter much since the scenery was beautiful and he was in radio contact with others who could have picked us up if needed. While this was supposed to be a 45 minute trip (including the stop on the island) we got over an hour due to the unscheduled delay.

We saw numerous alligators, turtles and birds during our trip. And a racoon while on the island. The tour was informative about the Everglades, the animals, the plants, as well as the tribe that runs the tour. I don't know what the other tours do, but we were very pleased with our experience.

“Fun Tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

We stopped here on our way to Shark Valley. This is right off of the Tamiami Trail (US 41) and easy to get in and out of. The wait was short and the boats are in great condition. The price is a good value as the tour is 45-50 mins. The guide grew up in the area and was very informative about aligators, native plants and indian life. He also had a sense of humor! The stop at the Indian Village was a plus and very educational.

This is a small family owned business and they do a nice job! The tour was very relaxed and we never felt rushed at anytime.

“Happy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Not sure this is the best air boat and alligator trip on the Everglades (who really does more than one to be able to make such a claim), but this one was very good. The 6 of us were all satisfied with the short excursion. Met 5 alligators by the side of the boat. Guide was funny and happy - thus the excellent rating. As other reviews state, you pass other air boat rides on the way to get to this one. None of us complained that we should have tried any of the closer ones (really not more than 10-15 minutes further).

Good thing is that there was no upselling of other features, since there are none. Some of the others have shows and are semi-amusement parks. After getting the air boat and alligator experience, IMO, you don't need the other stuff. Better to spend the time on the beach, or in the eyes of the female members of the group, shopping.

“Amazing, informative and as close as you can get to nature.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

The best $27.50 I've spent so far since being in Florida. We were told the trip would last approximately 45 minutes, in fact we were out for well over an hour ! Eric, our guide obviously enjoys what he does because there's passion in his stories and his knowledge is first hand, having been taught by the chief Native American Buffalo Tiger, now 90 something but still around. Highly recommended as its smaller than other Air boat tour companies and therefore probably more personnel. We thoroughly enjoyed it anyway :o)

“Great Tour, Great Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

(Video Link at bottom of comment)
I did this tour in January 2013, it was great fun, the guide told us a lot.
We saw plenty of Alligators and lots of other wildlife.

We were a family of four and had a bost to ourselves.
My brother who had been on another airboat tour nearby and said Buffalo was far better, the more commercial ones don't get up close to the Alligators, which after all is what everyone is there for!
This is a Indian family owned business and is on an Indian Reserve.

Heres a video I made of the tour, if your interested!
