Casa Moderna is a wonderful stay in Miami. Located conveniently on Biscayne Boulevard you can easily get the bus to South Beach for $2 and walk about 5 blocks to the Publix Market for a quick shop to buy items for a picnic on South Beach or a light dinner on your balcony back at Casa Moderna. Also about 5 blocks in the other direction is a waterfront mini-mall with restaurants and a view of Biscayne Bay. The hotel is accessible via public transportation from the airport though it does take about 1 hour via the metroliner. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are incredible. The pool on the top deck was lovely though too cool as it is not heated for our use when we visited in November. A hot tub would be a nice addition on the rooftop deck. Great place - I would highly recommend it.

I truly enjoyed my stay over the weekend of 11/30/12 to 12/02/12. The hotel is in an awesome location. It is very modern and clean. The gym is also well appointed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stayed one night after a cruise - chose because of location and website pictures. Stayed in a junior suite. PROS: large space, upscale furnishings, comfortable bed with great bedding, great location. CONS: no lighting in living area except for desk lamp (totally unable to read in that area), no table to eat on - ordered out and ended up eating on the bed because the very beautiful and modern coffee table was way too low to eat at; beautiful stone countertops which looked unwiped and dirty when we checked in - turned out to be badly stained instead. Also, that beautiful stone used on the floor in the shower was extremely slippery when wet. No make up mirror in bathroom - unable to get really close to mirror over sink.
Overall, very confusing room which reflected a lot of money spent but no real attention to customer comfort.

I strongly recommend this hotel,We stayed due to it's close proximity to the port of Miami, Miami Airport, the sports arena and waterfront stores. Great place to stay if cruising too
