“Underwhelmed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I finally made it to this spot after seeing it mentioned so many times on the local TV restaurant review show. Have to say the staff was incredibly nice and attentive, the seafood was fresh and fast but the amount of food served, price and the no frills ambiance left me underwhelmed. The owners may have wanted to accommodate the added people traffic and may have expanded the size of the place but the prices and location are its biggest inhibitors. $13 bucks for 7 shrimp, 2 tostones and a scoop of rice is not cutting it.

“Great Food Now with "sitdown service"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Simply the best fried shrimp and fish in Miami. The owner's grandson was very polite and the food was on point. The service is quick, honest, friendly and the loud chatter from the iconic interior makes the main focus simply the food. This is an experience for the real deal seafood lover in you. A must in Miami.. Always best regards, brifro

Highly recommended. We ordered fried lobster, fried breaded fish and rice with fish, all were superb.

“Trip Advisor wins again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

My wife and I stopped in for dinner last night at the suggestion of trip advisor. We, as always with these reviews, were not disappointed. The staff was BUSY but still very attentive. We got our food very quickly and enjoyed it to the last bite. We will look forward to going back!
