“Kayaking at Oleta River State Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Oleta River State Park is said to be Florida’s largest urban park The park is best known for miles of off-road bicycling trails. At the north end of the park there are shaded mangrove trails. Kayakers can paddle the river to explore the mangroves and also paddle out into the bay. Picnic tables and grills are available. For overnight visits, the park has rustic, air-conditioned cabins.

“Great park full of activities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

My family loves Oleta River State Park! There is so much to do there. Its great for bike riders as it has several bike paths with different levels of difficulty, from paved paths to daunting dirt traks with jumps. There are bbq areas, canoe rentals, a fishing pier and nice calm beach. Don't forget to bring your helmet as you will not be allowed to ride if you are not wearing one.

“Excellent for tours during the week.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Me and my family love this park! Quiet, nice for a nap, read a book or simply contemplate nature.

But beware! On weekends, especially in summer, is terrible. Many people, much noise, too much dirt.

“Awesome little getaway...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

If you like biking, kayaking or just nature, this is the place. There is even a beach for your enjoyment. I would suggest the beach during the weekdays. On weekends, the locals from the area tend to flop here. There is a $2 charge per car, but if you partake in the activities you will be fine.

“Camping, Barbecuing and a great HANGOUT for locals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

This State Park has something for everyone: Bicycle and hiking trails, canoe and kayak rentals, and a great beach. You can also rent cabins very inexpensively and it is a great family hangout.
