It's cute but it's not great! It's really too small to be great! IT's just a small house with grass around it, I don't know why they consider this to be an attraction...
This park is nice. There is a tour of the old house. There are bathrooms. No food places. All there is too see is a open area that is next to the bay.
The real Miami. Get an idea what it was like to live here 100 years ago. Beautiful setting and the house is lovely. Guides offer interesting stories and are very informative.
There's not much to see. The house is interesting just for the fact that it's the oldest in Miami. But the view is great, and you don't get the chance to see nineteenth century history in Florida every day, so go see it!
Me and my wife were in Coconut Grove, and we decided to visit the Barnacle State Historic Site after lunch. The entrance was very promising with a trail in the native woods, but it quickly ends up on an opened area (size of a small soccer field). At that point we got that weird feeling that we were in someone's backyard.
