“Historical place to visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

The Barnacle has lots of history. It is a beautiful place to visit in Coconut Grove. the Tour guides are highly recommended it is a house with lots of history and a boat house that has been renovated throughout the years due to hurricanes and storms at it is on the bay with beautiful view. Sometimes the have concerts at night and movie nights.

“Was OK.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

Didn't find anything "extraordinary' about this place except the view. It is right on the water in the Coconut Grove area.

“Too Small to be Excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

A cute little walking trail plus green landscape with an old house on the property (oldest in Miami) and great views of the ocean and yachts. Relaxing walk through history.

“A nice corner of Miami's history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

If you are in the Coconut Grove area this is a place worth visiting. It takes you back to the pioneer lifestyle that started Miami.

“Hidden treasure in the middle of Coconut Grove, Florida”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

What a surprize to find this hidden little gem right in the middle of the bustle of downtown Miami. It is a 'tropical hardwood hammock', which was the original landscape of the area and is one of the few remaining. A beautiful, very quiet little park, full of tropical plants and hardwoods, the home is open to the public and the boat house down by a peaceful portion of Biscayne Bay show the original idea of attaching cables to the building in order to withstand hurricanes. Plus there is a mystery "well" or something, no one knows exactly what it is. Very cute place, nice walk from the Mayfair Hotel or anywhere in Coconut Grove.
