“Great museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Located just miles from The Ubano Hotel
I enjoyed walking the nature trail to the entrance.
The Metrorail is conveniently located to the museum.

“Great way to spend a few hours away from the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

This is a hidden gem in the middle of downtown Miami. It is both a museum and a garden/park holding all the beauty of the old Europe. We came to Vizcaya museum only an hour before it closes and were too late for a narrated tour or the audio guide rental. We walked through the large villa on our own admiring the architecture, furishings and art throughout the building. But the real beauty was outside the boat dock and further on in the gardens. This is a great place to go to in the afternoon to sit in the shade and enjoy the piece and quiet, take a few pictures in a beautiful place. The museum attendants are very friendly and helpful.

“Old school elegance with style”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

A beautiful mansion built to show off not only its interiors, but also the views over Biscayne Bay and its elaborate gardens. The interiors were mostly in the style of grand European homes, but there were surprising 'modern' twists. Outside, in the gardens and patios, it's worth taking a moment to find places to sit and enjoy the view. I was reminded of Venice while gazing from the porch, over the unique 'breakwater', towards Biscayne Bay. Don't rush your visit. The cafe and gift shop are worth taking a look at, either for a bite to eat or a keepsake.

“As old as it gets in Miami”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

If you like history then this house is a must. It houses a raft of antiques from all over Europe and the gardens are wonderful. It's not far out of downtown Miami and well worth a visit

“The "GOOD" old days”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

This is how Americans and others with too much money spent it in the old days. When Mr. Deering invented the plow that heralded the dust bowl he could never had imagined that this would be his. A must see for every student of American History, architecture and gardens
