Easy to get to via public transportation. $2 off coupons available at most hotels however you need one coupon per person if everyone is paying separately (despite coupon stating differently). Interior very dark, garden very pleasant. Restaurant on site offered surprisingly good lunch option.
This mansion and grounds are a wonderful place to visit. You'll go back in time to when Miami was a long way from NY and Chicago and only the very rich could go there. Take the docent tour of the ground floor and then explore upstairs on your own.
Excellent as always. The gardens were beautiful. The house was exquisite, and we liked the videos about the site. Great value for money and for architecture buffs.
Lots of outdoor and indoor walking. also a free tour guide. although it does cost to visit. stay as long as you like. a nice afternoon. history is here. free parking.
We really enjoyed visiting Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The house is decorated with great taste and vision, the gardens are manicured, and the view from the house is priceless. The guided tour was very educational and as a bonus we had visitors in our group who came to visit Vizcaya Museum and Gardens from the Spanish province of Vizcaya.
We spent delightful 3 hours there taking in the grandeur of the place. Really beautiful!
