I had a few hours to kill at the Miami airport, so I took the new rail (airport to downtown), to visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. It was a short, scenic walk from the train station, and the trek was well worth it. Vizcaya was the home of a founder of International Harvester (Deering), which is now "John Deere", I assume. The home (mansion) was built and decorated in the early 20th Century, and the gardens, on the ocean, were stunning. It's a peaceful, relaxing and pleasant way to spend some hours in Miami, and very easy access from the airport.
