Design hotel, spacy rooms, centrally located, with amazing pool on top. Peferct views with Miami bay. Service in restaurant needs to be improved!

I met my husband in miami over Jan 27th weekend. He checked in the day before and loved the room that he had to upgrade for the nights I came. We've been to a lot of top rated miami hotels thru the help of trip advisor, however I have to say this may be my favorite hotel. Yes, its not on the beach, but you can easily take a cab there or drive, if you're renting. The decor is very art deco, and so beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and you dont really feel like you are staying at a hotel, more like renting a luxury apartment (if you get the suit). The staff was very kind and helpful and I thought it was very courteous to inform us with a letter brought over thru the evening turndown that the miami marathon was happening the next day and the possibiltiy of traffic. They also offered to help with travel needs. The pools are on the roof of the 15th floor, and wow what a view. It felt like you were on the ground floor until you realize that you are floating between buildings. The restaurant EOS was beautiful and serviced some delicious fare. And the spa... The most unique Ive seen for sure! So beautiful and relaxing. I didnt get any services, however because checkout was at noon and they were fully commited, we werent flying out until evening, we were told that we could use the pool, gym and spa facilities. The waiting room was like no other, chaise lounges, sofas, jacuzies, apples and water all with a great view of the port and ocean. The locker room was so serene, and the steam room was entirely enclosed in glass. Overall, exceptional service, luxurious ambiance, and a fabulous stay. I would definitely go back once our bank account recovers ;)

Everytime when i came to Miami....this is my favorite hotel......it's modern and cose.....love the decoration and the staf...as an architect....i can say that's the best in Miami....congrats

Stayed here on business to be close to a conference hotel. The room was spacious, very well outfitted, huge tub, hot plate, microwave, coffee service, etc. The decorator must have been paid on the amount of variation in the rooms and common areas. Everything elegant but a bit large and a few too many - but fun to be in for a few days. The pool area was fabulous as was the spa/fitness area. The bar was beautiful.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a view

Our stay at this hotel started off very badly when we were "greeted" by front desk assistant manager Jose Rico-Arango in a very unprofessional manner. He was unable to confirm advertised pricing options from the internet and made the check-in process a nightmare.

The same front desk manager did not act on a complaint about MANY mosquitoes in our room. Instead "offered" to DOWNGRADE the room from a suite to a normal king room. The reasoning was that the other room was on a higher level with less likelihood of having mosquitoes. No action was taken to remedy the situation, even though the bath tub had evidence of many mosquitoes that had died in the meantime.

After that we discovered additional cleanliness issues, the most annoying one being that
the carpet had patches with lots of sand on it.

On top of all of that the hotel is in a very noisy area with most rooms facing a 6 lane street, one could hear cars, honking, and rush hour traffic all night and morning. I would not recommend this hotel if you are a light sleeper or are picky about the cleanliness of your rooms. Not to mention that the front desk service was unacceptable for a hotel that expensive.

An a good note: the suites are spacious.

Room Tip: Don't book directly with them, their website is not always the cheapest and Expedia is consisten...

Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences you may have encountered at check in. This is certainly not indicative of the standards that we pride ourselves on. I understand however that the issue was resolved the next day.

After reviewing your comments with the Front Office Manager it was understood that the guest offered to move to another suite on a later day due to the hotel being sold out, but they declined; as well as offers to spray the room were declined due to the fact that they were allergic.

I have reviewed your comment about the housekeeping issues you received during your stay and I assure you that I have met with the Housekeeping Director to further resolve these mishaps for future stays.

It was unfortunate to hear that our downtown urban setting did not satisfy your expectations. We have received your valuable comments in the spirit intended and sincerely appreciate your most candid feedback. I sincerely hope that you will provide us with the opportunity to restore your faith and regain your confidence and trust in us.

I thoroughly enjoyed it but during my week-long stay not everything was perfect in restaurant and with their service. Spa/gym/pool is located in a building across the square and to get there, one has to cross a large square. When I was staying, it was heavily raining few days and it was not comfortable to walk there.
Location = really depends on purpose of the visit. It is close to downtown but not south beach
