failed to check tripadvisor before booking, relied on Courtyard brand. Big mistake. Staff lethargic and disinterested. Rooms and hallways dark, dingy, smelly, noisy. Fitness room is tiny and has one broken bike, unbelieveable. Only positive is proximity to airport but there are many nicer properties in same price range nearby. I tried to bail but they were all booked. Sigh.

Courtyard continues to be a well thought out business hotel. Switches are in the right place, plenty of outlets for computer and phone charger, no surprises. That's fine by me.

The exercise room is tiny. The pool is small too. The decor is uninspiring. But the people are nice, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I checked in easily, did my business, slept, and checked out without a care.

For me, a business hotel is like a baseball umpire, the less I notice it the better. I barely noticed this room, and that's a good thing.

This hotel is one of the two in the direct area, it is in a convenient location, the staff are fairly helpful, and friendly. Very clean room, and convenient for smokers, although it is advertised as a "smoke-free" hotel, we had no problem smoking out the door on the first floor, or balcony's on other levels, i'm pretty sure every room is equipped with a door or balcony. Room service was prompt, and friendly. I slept like a baby both nights, there is some noise because of the airport being so close, but the room was pretty much sound proof, and we had no problems.

With Doral being such a growing hub for business, I was astounded at how "un" Marriott the Courtyard Marriott in Doral is. From the lack of attentiveness and service at the front desk, poor on-site facilities (the fitness center is a joke and must be seen as no words could convey how much of a joke it is), ridiculously slow internet connection (provided by a telco in Wichita, KS), and dated decor, this a serious blotch on an otherwise strong Marriott brand. As a loyal Marriott Rewards members, this is one of the few times I would sacrifice points and choose an alternative brand. Avoid this property.
