“Fantastic Stay - Would recommend!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2009

I stayed at this hotel for only one night when i visited Miami for a few days.

I had booked a 1 bedroomed appartment, and when we got there checked in & were upgraded to a 2 bedroomed one - the room itself was gorgeous!!

The hotel is easy enough to find, and when we got there it seemed that the only parking opportunity was valet parking which they add to the cost of the room - this is charged at $20 per night and it allowed us to come and go as we pleased during this time (I was happy with this).

You are given a key and a fob that you need to use in order to call the elevator - this is for securit as it is a tower of condos. Our room was on the 22nd floor so up we went. I opened the door to the room and was astounded by it - the door opened into the living room area which as attached to the balcony & had a fantasic view. The kitcchen was to the right, and this was where our 2nd Bedroom (and bathroom) was. To the left was a dining area and the master bedroom (with ensuite). All rooms had a fantasic bay view!

The room was very clean, and had all equipment that we would need should we be stayiing there for more than a night - washer/dryer, microwave, cooker, fridge, cutler, dinnerware etc.

We asked the lady on reception if she knew if the hard rock cafe was local (we thought it was but did not have any directions with us). She gladly went online & printed them off for us. We then drove to the local shopping / dining area called 'Bayside' which again was lovely - it overlooked the bay and seemed a nice place to go for some food and some drinks.

My boyfriend used the pool and gym area and was impressed by both. They also offered breakfast in the restaurant if you wanted (for a surcharge)

I think that the hotel was about a 15-20 min drive from South Beach (maybe longer with traffic) but close enough to go over there if needed for nights out etc.

This was a great stay, and I'd 100% recommend it to friends, family and other travellers!

We stayed for 2 days while waiting for our cruise. We were so tired when we got to Miami that we went straight to the Fortune House Condos. Our room was not ready even though we were 2 hours early they gave us another room. We were so surprised at the room. It was 2 full bedrooms and 2 full baths with a really nice kitchen fully stocked with all manner of appliance and cooking ware. We were on the 26th floor with a view ( Biscayne Bay) to die for. We spent much of our time on the balcony. 2 TV's with cable and free WiFi. The gym and pool are very nice and open from 6-10pm. The downstairs cafe was not much, but there is a wonderful Argentenian restraunt about 1 block called Novecento and a really nice deli that serves all day just across from Novecento's. The location of this hotel is about 2 block from the People mover which can take you to all the shopping downtown. This was a really great deal and I would come back here in a heartbeat.

For the price of a single room in the area, you can get a decent suite with a good pool area and small gym.

Our family stayed at the fortune house for a day prior to going on a cruise. We had four different rooms... The first room which was our room was ok compared to the other rooms. Besides the old couch we had no tv's in the bedrooms and the toliets in the bathrooms did not work. We called the front desk to have someone fix them but no one ever came. Luckily we were able to use the bathrooms in our families room. It was an inconvience but we managed. The layout of the room was spacious and the view was nice. BUT...as you go up floors and we saw our other family rooms there rooms was much better. Hardwood floors, flat screen tv's in each room, CD playe, marble counters. Very nice room. So my recommendation is to make sure you verify the type of room you are getting prior to staying there. Parking is an extra cost per night so be prepared for parking because there is no parking around the hotel. The restuarant food was gross and make sure that you verify that breakfast is included in your stay (if you chose to eat there). There is also nothing around the hotel but more hotels and office business.

My friends and I were at the Fortune house for about three days. We had the bay view two bedroom condo and it was o.k. The queen bed was very comfortable but the twin beds in the other room were not comfortable. Everyone ended up breaking out in bug bites from the blankets. There is a washer and dryers for you to wash and bleach your sheets in order to fight the bugs off ...other then that the place was o.k. I like the free internet use , the gym was great, the housekeeper only came once out of the three days we were there(not good) I like the valet parking ,the location wasn't bad at all. I advice you to have a GPS to take you everywhere but the beach was only 10 minutes away.

We stayed in april 2009 at Fortune House, Our room was very c lean and Comfortable, we had clean services every day, clean white towels, i used the kitchen a lot cause is very convenience to do breakfast or light lunnch, there is a supermakert walking distance, the gym is amazing, hot tub bit small for the hotel size, parking area was a trouble, when we registered was $25 per 24 hours, when we left they reduced the price to $5 really good for the brickell area.

the location was good, closed to downtown and miami arena, there is a free metro train at short distance for easy acces to downtown.

i would recomend fortune house, really good value for money!

I stayed at this hotel on March 13- 15, 2009. There are no amenities, house keepers leave at 5:00 P.M., the lay out is okay, however, the bathroom sink and tub was dirty, the kitchen counters were dirty, the air system did not work well and there was a bad odor in the room. They also have dirty walls and poor painting jobs throughout the rooms. There is No television in the bedroom. I asked for someone to clean my bathroom sink at 9:30 Saturday because it was dirty when I had checked in the day before and had to call again at 4:00 P.M. when I returned from my day out. Food options are very limited they have a cafe not real restaurant. If you are looking for an apartment and your standards are not to high then good luck. It has potential, if they put more effort in being clean. I put a towel on the couch before I laid down on it, not that there was spots, I was just concern after seeing how dirty the bathroom sink and tub were.
