“The worst motel I have EVER stayed in”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Granted, it was affordable in comparison to other motels in Miami but to stay in this motel again they would have to give me money. We were given a room opposite the ice machine which was used all night long, when we requested another room, this wasnt possible. The room was filthy, my three year old daughter had BLACK feet after walking barefoot from her rickety rollaway bed to the bathroom. The location next to the highway may seem convenient but it is so noisy. The breakfast is a joke! You get to choose between a mini bagel, a piece of toast or a mini muffin. When you ask for some cream cheese for the tiny bagel they charge you two dollar. To all fellow travellers: dont stay here!!!!

This place was a complete dump. I was only there because my travel agent (whom I will NEVER use again) set it up due to an overnight layover in Miami and it was midnight and no where else to go. This place was horrible. We took pictures of a syringe in the pool, there were blood stains on the carpet, dead bugs on the floor (including a cockroach in my bathroom), it was filthy and smelled terrible. On top of this, the elevator was gross and the rooms were numbered odd, so it was hard to figure out where to go. We had 8 rooms booked and they were all nasty. It was also in a scary neighborhood, and no one felt safe there. There was a security guard, who was not wearing a uniform just a black hoodie and he had a flashlight, all around this place was shady. The only good thing I can say is the shuttle driver was friendly.

Room Tip: Do not stay here, I saw 8 different rooms and they were all terrible.

The location is good, close to the airport and the cruise terminal. You can arrange to leave your car there for five dollars a day with a shuttle to and from the port. The restaurant is surprisingly good. That is it for the good.
The place is a dump. We were there on a rare cold night and there was no heat. The sheets are cheep and scratchy. The carpet is worn and dirty. It is very noisy as it is beside the freeway. I have stayed at other Roadway Inns and have been satisfied but not with this one. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

This is the worst place we ever stayed.
Giving it a number 1 would be way to kind!!!! I would rate this place a ZERO!
Exams of experience: dirty sheets, floating needles in pool, pubic hair in bathrooms & NO remodels Done! I was scared to close my eyes! Oh yes, lock did not work on door!

Ask why we didn't leave, no transportation & travled for 18 hours!!!

I have never seen such a filthy hotel. There were LITERALLY someone else's pubic hair left on the lavatory and in the filthy bathroom. The mattress sank several inches, and electrical outlets were not attached to the walls. Look at the photos!

Room Tip: If you want a good room, call a cab and get yourselves off of this nasty property.

This place is as no-frills as it comes.

Cons:
-LOUD! Can hear next door and outside door easily
-It looks like tenament housing
-The elevator is scary and dirty
-The rooms are VERY dated (perhaps 1970's)
-Old TV
-Scratched furniture
-Musty / Smelly
-Lowest quality shampoo and soap
-No clock
-Pizza advertisements slid under door twice.

Pros:
-Price
-Comfortable bed
-Nice service at the front desk
-Shuttle to airport
-Decent location near hospitals

Room Tip: Stay on the non-highway side.

The carpeting was filthy. Nothing in the room worked. I tried to change the volume on the TV and it changed the channel. The remote failed and we had to unplug it. Light switch on lamp..broken. Security chain on door...broken. Water faucet on sink...broken.
The 'modified continental breakfast' was a two-bite muffin and juice OR coffee.
On the plus side, the restaurant had excellent food and service.
Never Again will I stay at a Rodeway anywhere. Be Ware!
