“Honeymoon Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2010

I picked this hotel to stay at the night before we left on a cruise for our honeymoon because it was rated the best hotel in Miami. I must say, it lived up to it's reputation. The inside of the hotel was beautiful. The man helping us with our bags was extremely polite and helpful. We stayed on the 25th floor (or somewhere around there, I don't quite remember) and had a beautiful view of the skyline, bay, and the 16th floor pool. Probably the most beautiful view I've ever had from a hotel. The room itself was comfy and spacious. If I had one complaint it would be that I had a little trouble finding it. There is no sign at the top of the hotel with the name and the sign at street level was hard to see. We actually drove past it twice. But we called the front desk and they gave us great directions!

Gorgeous hotel...unpretentious but very chic lobby, eerily smooth elevator to your stunning, modern room. The bathroom is gorgeous - not the most functional, but gorgeous (towel bar hard to reach from the rain shower or garden tub). Comfy bed, huge balcony. Food service is so-so but several decent restaurants are nearby. Far above average fitness room, and they even supply a running map in your room! Top-notch customer service. Fantastic!!!

So will "Celebrity Eclipse The Epic"?
That was my post on Facebook to friends and family back home in the UK after spending 2 nights in The Epic Hotel from 25th - 27th November 2010 pre-cruise on yes, you guessed it, Celebrity Eclipse!
We had a fantastic 1 bedroom suite on the 28th floor, complete with gold fish that we named Bob for our stay and this room was stunning! We had a fantastic view out over the water and the room really was amazing from a space point of view. I want a bathroom like that in my house and 1 bedroom apartments in Cities are smaller than this hotel room! We could have been quite happy living there with Bob and the view however we had a cruise to take! The hotel really does have the wow factor about it everywhere. From free coffee and tea in the morning as you leave the hotel to set out exploring Miami to the free wine in the evening between 5 - 6 pm, you couldn't ask for better. The pool on the 16th floor is luxurious and offers stunning views. We did thoroughly enjoy our cruise on Celebrity Eclipse and we had a suite on board however The Epic room did Eclipse Celebrity and we were happy to return to the Hotel on the 4th December this time to another one bedroom suite on the 24th floor with the same stunning views.
If you get the chance to stay at this hotel, then do. It also offers free internet in the room which was a god send to us to check in for our flights to the UK and also to catch up with the outside world! Bayside is a comfortable walk along the waterfront and does offer you everything you need. The metromover - once we worked out where we were and where we wanted to go is a fantastic way to get around downtown Miami for free and no trip to Miami would be complete without going to South Beach. The main beach front street is stunning with some lovely buildings and hotels - the on street cafes and restaurants were fantastic and not as expensive as you think.
If we sail out of Miami next year, we'll be back at The Epic and hope to see Bob there to!
Thank you to all staff, you know who you are :-) for making our stay extra special. You have a great hotel and should all be proud of yourselves.

One of the best hotels i ever stayed at. Nice staff, great room. We stayed in a suite for the price of a regular room and even in the restroom there was a balcony. The balcony by the way was huge.
Free internet and computer in the room.
Great views from room and pool, wich by the way is on the roof. That is the only downside, because when the wind blows, it is not the best place to be.

Ever wanted to be Michael Weston in Burnnotice ? Then you should consider staying at the the Epic Hotel located at the Miami River. My wife and i stayed there for one 1 after a cruise, and was impressed by the EPIC hotel, which is basically a giant hotel which manage to keep a touch of boutique flair.

Room was well equipped with a personal Computer with free interenet access. We had a room at the 27th floor overlooking downtown Miami which was quite impressive.

Although we booked the room without breakfast, the reception manager gave us a free voucher for Continental Breakfast, and breakfast was really delicous with homemade granola and Yogurt. I am always dissapointed about the hotel-breakfast served in US-hotels, as most is served in prefabricated style - BUT the breakfast at Epic was really fresh and tasty.
Breakfast is served on the 16th floor, where there is a big Gym and what must be the coolest Swimmingpool area overlooking the Cruiseport of Miami.

The only negative point of Epic is the whopper of 35 USD in Valet Parking. I suggest to park the car at the nearest public parking which will cost you half the price.

Epic is the best hotel to stay in Miami.
Beautiful view.
Wonderful pool.
Great staff
The valet is fast
Restaurant is nice and the food is very good.

It´s a good place to stay in Miami for shopping because is in the middle of the city so you can go north or south very quickly. And better: you can choose anti-rush hours!!!!!

This is the 2nd time that I have stayed at EPIC hotel for a business trip. Once again, I was blown away by this wonderful hotel. It is truly a little piece of heaven on earth! :o) As soon as you step out of your car, you are treated like royalty from start to finish. The staff, rooms, views are all awesome. I have no complaints about this hotel! I would come to Miami just to stay here. It's about a 10 minute cab ride to South Beach but so worth it. I have stayed at many, many hotels, but this is by far the most luxurious and best hotel I have stayed at! I plan to come back to stay here as a vacation, instead of on a business trip!
