We had been booked to stay at the Mayfair, and were placed at the Epic when holtels.com told us they were over booked. Big mistake on Mayfair's part- We love going to Miami, and love the staff and service we had this weekend at the Epic. We never felt so pampered in any of the places we've stayed. we loved the view and the ambiance of the 29th floor. The only down points- The $32 daily parking fee and There was a hip-hop convention in town, and the partyers were coming in at all hours of the night(until 7 am) and making a racket on the first night-not the hotel's fault, but I wish they could put more sound deadening on the doors near the elevator, as ours was. The second night was fine. We enjoyed the best view in town dining on the terrace at Area 31, and had a terrific lunch at the new Zuma Restaurant. Great pool and pool service. The location is very convenient, and we loved watching all of the activity on the river. Sonia and Gene were very helpful, as was Omar and the security staff who helped me try to locate a missing purse after I checked out. Since we live only two hours away, We'll definitely be back!
