“Amazing Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2010

I've traveled for business for over 30 years and can honestly say I was blown away by this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, very sound proof. The bath ammenities were superb. Loved the in-room computer.

After a long day a work, it was a delight to sit out on the balcony and see boats coming down the canal. It was also lovely to dream a bit -- seeing the large yachts that were docked by the hotel each day!

The front desk and valet were outstanding! Room service was good too. The only minor complaint was that there was not much of a selection for late night in-room dining. No biggie, but even though I was tired, I opted to eat elsewhere.

Just come back from staying 3 nights at the Loews in South Beach, then went on a cruise for a week and stayed 2 nights at the Epic before flying back to the UK. The Epic is better than the Loews and although the bar wasn't open in the lobby, it still beats the Loews beacause it is customer focused. When we arrived at the Epic at 9am our room was ready, how good was that, having just come off the cruise ship! The rooms are nice and spacious, the bathroom is great, lots channels on the the tv for our 15 year old daughter and free internet. The pool area is wonderful with sun loungers, beds, shaded areas and there is no one trying to make a fast buck by getting you a sun lounger by the pool, you walk out choose where you want to sit and the staff immediately come over with towels and iced water, not like the Loews! We were on the 29th floor and had the facilities of the hospitality lounge, which was ideal and Bonaldo is a really helpful guy. There are some quite expensive restaurants nearby, but take a short taxi ride or a 15 minute walk to the Brickell area and you will find reasonably priced restaurants there and the hotel will show you sample menus to help you decide. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Epic and apart from the balcony not being cleaned when we arrived, one phone call and it was immediately cleaned from top to bottom. Highly recommend this hotel and if we come back to Miami, we will definitely stay at the Epic. You don't have to be on South Beach to have a good time!

We stayed at this hotel not sure what to expect. Wow! We were blown away! From the moment we hit the front door, we knew this was no standard Miami resort hotel. The enormous open lobby was bathed in warm neutral tones, and all of the finishes were stone or hard woods. Oh yeah, the huge chandelier was even a natural matrial made of shell.

I must also say that the accomodations also blew us away! The bed was, of course, comfortable and the bathroom was huge! There were two vessel sinks, separate spa tub, private toilet and a large walk-in shower with a rain shower head. In our suite, we had two balconys!

This hotel is cool, but not too cool for its own good. From the valet parkers to the pool deck waiters everyone we encountered was "five star" gracious and friendly. This is was the best part of the hotel!

I plan to return!

Seth and the front desk team made me feel welcome the moment I entered the hotel. The view from my room of the bay was beaurtiful and relaxing, as I lounged on the comfortable chaise. The bed was so comfortable, it was hard to get up the next morning for my meeting.

Overall, it was one of the best experiences I have had in any Miami hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights just after the Easter Weekend - the Hotel was very stylish and clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was very effective, as was the sound-proofing of the room; there is a rather noisy metal bridge outside the hotel, which we could not hear in our room once the balcony door was closed. We had a view of the water and were on the 28th floor, so maybe that's why it wasn't so noisy. The bed was very comfortable, and bathroom was fantastic, very big, plus I could sit in the bath and look out at the view of the bay and down-town, very cool. Overall really enjoyed our stay here, however, the hotel restaurant was over-priced - we ate lunch and also dinner there once; there are plenty of equally good, but better value for money restaurants within walking distance.

I didn't know hotels could be this great. I didn't know EPIC has residences also, which definitely changed the flavor of the experience. We had a hugely comfortable room with a deck and nice sunrise view. We joined the complimentary wine hour and sauntered poolside even though it was stormy. The staff in the business lounge was attentive and fun (Thanks, B!). The club downstairs kept the drinks coming but we were disappointed there wasn't more dancing. The parking cost was hefty, but an all around good experience.
