We checked in during the Miami Art Basel and the hotel was one of the sponsors, but I don't believe that gives it any excuses for poor service. We had a junior suite and amazingly there was no coffee making machine in the room or any bottles of water. The bottled water eventually appeared in our room after 5 days. A tray of leftovers from room service stayed on our floor level for over 36 hours before being removed.
We were given vouchers for a free breakfast, but the downside of this is that the waiters become reluctant to serve you after your first visit, i guess because they know there is no chance of a tip?
We were given a key to our mini-bar and told it would be refreshed daily. There was a key already in the fridge when we arrived and the bar wasn't 'refreshed' until day 5 - same as for the bottled water.
The windows aren't double glazed so you can hear everything going on outside.
On a positive note, the concierge knows his stuff and is very helpful.
This place is only good as somewhere to rest your head in my opinion - eat out and make sure you come back with your own supplies in case the mini bar or water hasn't been 'refreshed'.
A poor experience in a fantastic city.

We stayed at the Epic hotel for a weekend getaway, we live in Florida and were able to get a great rate for a suite under the Florida resident rate.

From the moment we checked in the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel like home. The hotel is pet friendly, so we brought our dog and everyone played with her. We were not able to check in until 4:30 pm, which was a little bit of inconvenience, however we got a credit to be used in the hotel and we had champagne and strawberries waiting in the room, which was a nice touch.

The room was very spacious with a separate living room area and bedroom. The views were amazing over Brickell. The bathroom was nice and well equipped with a tub.

We had some treatments at the Exhale spa, we did enjoy the experience and again the staff was very friendly. We had dinner at Zuma and the food was amazing as well as the ambiance, I absolutely loved the miso cod.

The hotel was very busy as any hotel in Miami and sometimes service can be compromised but this never happened at Epic hotel. We have stayed at other hotels in Miami and Epic is our favorite hotel.

The Viceroy hotel is nice too, however the customer service is far superior at the Epic Hotel. We had breakfast at the Area 31, which was fine, the view was the best.

The Hotel check in process was quick and efficient the location of the public rooms was very accessable I loved the morning coffee in the lobby but if you preferred you could call for a coffee pot to be sent in to the room. Afternoon cocktails in the lobby was also fun. The room was very comfortable and the Housekeeping was the best. I traveled for business but look forward to visiting the Epic as a tourist thge next time.

beautiful views, comfortable modern rooms with great bathrooms, super friendly everywhere on this property. what else do you want? Oh, great location. The bar on the 16th floor is chic. Awesome pool that is sunny all day. great price!!
