“Modern / Sophisticated / Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

It took a long time for me to write this review but this hotel deserves a good one!
Aside from the breakfast, which was served as an expensive "a la carte", this hotel is modern, sophisticated and very comfortable. The location is great for those who look for a place to have access to all Miami destinations.
When my wife and I stayed at this hotel after 5 days in The Royal Cancun we didn't expect as much luxury and comfort as we got in Cancun. But as she likes modern design she was amazed with the room and everything inside. The bathroom was superb, the bed was huge and all the forniture made the room look fantastic.
If you really don't care about a huge breakfast buffet, definitely stay in this hotel!

We stayed at the Epic hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary and my husband John's birthday.
The hotel was amazing. Oscar was simply the best. He arranged for us to have a beautiful dinner at Zuma restaurant on our first night. Our room was beautiful overlooking the bay. We had champagne in the room on our arrival. Oscar absolutely did everything to make our stay perfect.
Christian also was great in helping us with matters. We are planning to come back to Miami in 2 - 4 weeks and will definitely stay at the Epic again, they are simply the best in making you feel special.

The EPIC hotel provided a great place for a downtown long weekend getaway. We stayed in a junior suite on the club level which was well worth it. The city views from the floor to ceiling windows were beautiful. The service was outstanding, everyone was very courteous and eager to help. The food and drink options on the club level were well above expectations, the staff seemed to go out of their way to please you. The pools were well staffed with lots of comfortable seating options. The only drawback was that on Saturday the pool turned more into a club scene with loud dance music being played all day. The restaurant,Area 31, served excellent food and had a great atmosphere.

Overall, a great stay at a top notch hotel that was a nice alternative to South Beach! I highly recommend it and look forward to another stay there.

Room Tip: The junior suites are corner rooms with a city/river view and huge floor to ceiling windows for grea...

Thanks for your outstanding review. We appreciate your kind comments about our club level suites and service, our attentive staff and our great location in downtown Miami. We are happy you dined in our signature restaurant AREA31, where award-winning Executive Chef Michael Reidt and his culinary team serves pristine and sustainable seafood.
We are thrilled you had an amazing stay and we are looking forward to your return.
Best wishes,

We stayed for just one night prior to picking up a cruise ship. Hurricane Isaac had passed through the area, but the weather was still appaulling and hence the pool area was closed; which was a shame, as even with the rain pouring down the pool area looked lovely. Nevertheless, the hotel was superb and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our cruise was delayed but the reception staff made available a room for us to pass the time until the courier arrived. The look and feel of the place was very much 5-star. The room (space and decor) was first class and one of the best we have every stayed in. We would definetely recommend this hotel and it would be our first choice for a place to stay in the Miami area.

Thanks for your first class review. We are so sorry to hear that you stayed with us during Tropical Storm Isaac, when the weather in the ‘Sunshine State’ was not so picture perfect. We thank you for being understandable that our pool area was closed during this time, as the safety of our guests is most important to us. We are thrilled our staff took good care of you and you enjoyed your overall stay. We hope you will be our guest again, please return soon.

Everything about EPIC hotel was exceptionally beautiful and amazing! I had an amazing stay with a beautiful room, breathtaking view, and great hotel amenities. From my first step into the hotel, I knew that I was in for a luxurious stay. The front desk staff was so helpful, caring, and dedicated to their work, Christian and Matt from the front desk staff were truly amazing and made my stay in Miami spectacular!! There is so much to do in the area and with Kyma Lounge, Zuma, Area 31 and much more directly within the hotel. I can't wait for the next opportunity to come back and enjoy more vacation time at EPIC!

Just stayed at this hotel for a four day business trip and was amazingly surprised. I have stayed before at several Kimpton properties but nothing like this before. The feel is definitely 5 star in every aspect (room size and decor, lobby, restaurant, design, location, etc.). I would highly recommend this hotel when the rates are reasonable. No major complaints, except that maybe is too noisy from the outside for being such a high end and new hotel.

I live about 30 minutes away from south beach/Miami, FL.
I wanted to get away and enjoy your labor day weekend. The reason I selected this hotel, was because Epic Hotel- A Kimpton Hotel is Pet Friendly. Once I arrived, the treatment was spectacular! My joy was the way my two Maltese were treated. They are like family to me. That meant the world to me.
Not only is the location amazing. You get the best of all worlds. Luxury, business and if you wish to go stroll down to south beach, you are 10 minutes away. The pool area is fabulous. It was so serene. Great place to unwind and relax.
You will be pleased with this location. The staff is on point, the location is outstanding and you get views of Brickell and water view. I truly enjoyed my stay here. The place was impeccable, Very clean! As stated above, I reside in south Fl. But wanted to have a staycation. Will definitely choose Epic for my next getaway.
