Hadn't been there in over 25 years. Have pictures from the mid 60s and my brothers children can do the same poses with the same statues and picture spots as we did as kids. Kind of fun but the kids (7 & 9) were a bit bored. Seemed soooo much bigger when I was a kid! While it is dated, it is also a bit of nostalgia. They even have the Flipper show with all the Beach Boys music. The only disappointments would be the "extras" that you have to pay for on top of an already expensive admission and the food prices and lack of food selections for lunch. Bathrooms were very clean. Fun to take a walk back in time!

The Seaquarium was really fun. The killer whale amazing. Flamingos fun. Dolphins so nice. We had a small problem so we complained, and Chip Gaudio the main Director contacted us immediately (we were really surprised) and fixed the problem instantly. Amazing service!

I was here with wife and two kids (seven and nine). The facility is very, very dated; it opened in 1955. There are eight shows that run throughout the day. You will see sea lions, stingrays, crocodiles, sea turtles, dolphins, manatees, and a killer whale. No rides. Shows are entertaining. Facility also serves as a rescue. It is sad to see so many hurt manatee and turtles. We also felt for Lolita, the 40 year old killer whale, who has been in a small tank since her capture in 1970. You need four to five hours to see everything. You pay $5 for parking and there is a road toll you cannot avoid. Kids had fun.

I visited the Sequarium last week when in Florida visiting a friend. We both walked away incredibly disappointed. The first stop was that we needed lunch...and I know you aren't going to get quality food in a place like this so our expectations weren't that great to begin with. But we walked in and the cooks behind the counter were talking about getting booty...really not something you should discuss in front of your customers! The cashier seemed very disinterested in ringing up our lunch, and it was outrageously expensive. Moving on...

The entrance fee is NOT accurate of what you'll find in the aquarium. I have to say I was incredibly horrified at how small the tanks were for the manatees, dolphins, and any of the larger animals. The manatees could barely even turn around in their tanks...felt incredibly sorry for them. The smaller fish tanks around the dolphin tank were very nicely maintained and appeared large enough for the fish and other creatures that were in there...but the rest left a lot to be desired. The area with the key deer and turtles, and the alligators was pretty nice and definitely a highlight. Probably the best part was actually the wild pelicans that were hanging around near the shark area. Also, they need to have more staff on hand monitoring the idiot tourists...there were people throwing Froot Loops into the shark tank to feed the birds that were swimming in there!!!

This place stands to have a lot of improvement (or a complete renovation). Not worth the price of admission or the sadness of the tiny animal enclosures. I would go elsewhere. Very unhappy and unimpressed...not to mention for all the state of FL does to protect its manatees, why in the world would they not take better care of the captive ones they do have? Disgraceful.
