“Zootastic!”

Love that it was easy to walk around and that it was big. Animals looked very well taken care of. Will return in my next trip to Miami.

“Day with grandchildren”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

A great place for families. Very adequate variety of animals and attractions. I recommend renting the carts if you have children as this will help getting around quicker and the children won't be worn-out from walking. Plus they are fun to navigate.

“Biggest Zoo ever been to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

As the title says.... biggest zoo I've ever visited... a proper good day out, kids would love it... they have these rental two seat bike things like what the Chuckle Brothers had, great fun, maybe bit expensive but it was a must as heat was making me feel sick. When you get your ticket, you then get a voucher for the next day admission $5 or something like that. Overpriced drinks though, but to be expected... did have water fountains and though they say you can't bring

“Put on your walking shoes!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

We went to the zoo on a Saturday and spent about 6 hours there. We arrived when the zoo opened to beat the crowds and heat. The exhibits are spaced out so be prepared to walk a lot or rent one of the bicycles. Strollers or wagons are a must for children, especially if you plan to cover the whole zoo. The animals were surprisingly active throughout the day despite the heat. We did not have children with us, but there were lots of kid-friendly perks--a water park area, play areas, petting zoo, etc. As it warmed up, we appreciated the misters to keep us cool. We were disappointed to see that food was not to be brought into the zoo. This ensures that visitors spend money at one of the grills unless they are able to sneak food past the entrance. We ate at the grill and found the food to be reasonably priced but just okay. There were not a lot of healthy choices. The chicken fingers looked like they had been deep
fried multiple times. Overall, I was impressed with the zoo and would go again once it cools down.

“Zoo fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

My boys and I love zoo miami. We always rent the bikes and peddle through the zoo and look at the exhibits. We especially like the amazon. It is amazing. They have bats, frogs, snakes, and spiders. You can spend the whole day there. We ring snacks and buy drinks (cups are refillable for a dollar), and we are good. If you haven't been to the zoo in the past 2 years, GO! It's bigger better and funnier than ever.
